SB Nation And Yahoo: Together At Last
We here at BRB are thrilled to announce that SB Nation and Yahoo have partnered up. Essentially, Yahoo audiences who might not have known about SB Nation sites now have one-click access to our content. Specifically, certain pages of Yahoo Sports will now feature contextual links to specific SB Nation communities, including but not limited to BRB. What's this mean for us? First and foremost, it means that more fans of your Houston Texans will be introduced to our little corner of cyberspace here. And that, my friends, is awesome. There aren't many places for Texans fans to congregate; to the extent our neighborhood bar here can welcome more regulars, it'll make it more fun for everyone.
If you're new to BRB, we extend a hearty welcome. Read through the site and let us know what you think. Once you get up to speed, join the conversation or, better yet, start one up. Whether you create a new profile here or use your Yahoo or OpenID credentials to register, one username and password will give you access to all SB Nation communities. BRB, like every SB Nation site, offers the same mechanisms for participating in the action via Comments, FanPosts (a blog entry of your very own) or FanShots (a quick micro-post of a thought, link, and/or photo). Your voice and opinions are always encouraged; we welcome disagreement and conversation. We do not, however, welcome or tolerate personal attacks on other members of our community. In other words, take all the exception you want with what you read and retort accordingly, but don't start hurling insults at the person whose opinion you just read.
If you're a crusty veteran of BRB and Charley Casserly jokes, please make our new members feel at home. Cut 'em some slack (but not too much) and spread the word about what it is we do here. Onward!

Great news. Congratulations, Tim and BRB
I’ve already gone over to the Yahoo team page for the Texans, and I saw the little SBNation BRB box at the bottom. Pretty sweet partnership there.
Blogs are slowly but surely getting more and more credit and respect from “legit” outlets. Good for you, good for me, good for all of us.

Oh, and speaking of Casserly
What part of his horrific draft record during his tenure with the Texans qualifies him to be one of the Combine experts for NFL Network?
New Yahooligans, please discuss.

Re: Casserly
I think that everytime I see him on there. The worst part is, the other guys made him run a route and catch a pass the other night. Not only did he completely blow the catch, but when he threw the ball back, he threw like a fuggin girl. THIS was who we had evaluating talent for our baby franchise??
A fuggin girl, dudes.

The Thing That Kills Me About Casserly
Is that he gets/takes credit for the Super Mario pick and the rest of that stellar 2006 draft class. He was already a lame duck by then. There’s no way he had the determining vote in who to take No. 1, or anywhere else.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

I Don't Blame Him
I blame whoever’s buying that load of crap.

But Mario WAS his pick...
…until Mario started to kick ass. At least, that’s how popular opinion went at the time. LOL

disagree...
I will never give Charley one milligram of credit for the Mario pick. It was all Kubes. Maybe Casserly did the research and negotiated the contract, but every bit of this goes to Kubes, in my eyes. No one will ever be able to tell me any different.

For the record, it’s not how I feel – it’s just how popular opinion swung at the time.
The real story, of course, is that we’ll never actually know.

I saw that "pass play".
I laughed. Hard. It was good TV.
