Texans Hire New Trainer
John McClain is reporting that the Texans hired Geoff Kaplan to be their new head trainer. Kaplan was hired as an assistant trainer by the Oilers in 1995 after interning with the team in 1994 and the Green Bay Packers in 1993.
Kaplan's official bio doesn't say much about him, but Tennessee's training staff has had a good reputation for a while. Paul Kuharsky says that many Titans players have lauded Kaplan for his rehab abilities, especially Steve McNair.
I'm not sure what to think about the often-injured McNair praising him for rehab, but I guess that luring any personnel away from a divisional opponent is a good thing. I hope he does well, because if he doesn't than we're going to listen to Richard Justice whine some more about Kubiak letting Kevin Bastin walk.

Man Crushes
Over the past couple of months, RJ has gushed over losing two of his biggest crushes, Dan Riley and Brad Ausmus. His out and out hatred of executive decision makers is only surpased by the love his own reflection. Dude sucks. Bad.

And – he took yet another shot at the Bastin/Riley non-renewal in the article about the illegal OTAs… two things that have nothing to do with each other.
Sometimes I honestly think he’s trying to get fired. Not because the Chronicle would have a problem with his material – but it’s like he wants everyone to hate him and force the paper to can his ass. For a guy who constantly calls other people vindictive, he needs to look in the mirror.

Justice
Is H-Town’s Skip Bayless. He’s nothing more than a deliberate contrarian who thinks that it’s necessary to incite the masses to get publicity.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Not a big fan of Geoff
but only because I don’t like the spelling of the first name. It should be Jeff.
I don’t know diddly about the dude. Hopefully he wins me over.
Please draft some defensive stars for the next DC.
