NFL.com Mock 3.0 is up, and has us taking Beanie Wells

Add Pat Kirwan, Senior Analyst at NFL.com to the list of know nothings who have us going for an offensive skill position player with our 1st pick. (NOTE: He does start his article with "Mid-March is still too early for a real mock draft") His pick makes no sense to me, and considering Wells injury history, I rate Knowshon Moreno as the best back in the draft. Kirwan's pick is even more puzzling when you consider that his v1.0 had us taking Tyson Jackson, and v2.0 was Peria Jerry. At least those picks were not completely out in left field. Do he and Todd McShay (who has us picking Sanchez) know something the rest of us don't or are they just not bothering to do any research on the Texans' needs? I say it's the latter.

My bad, I should have checked McShay's and Kiper's latest selections

Todd no longer has us going for Sanchez. I’m sure he got roasted for that pick. But he still insists that “Many say” either Wells or Moreno could be the selection. He does not bother to state who these many are. The d-bag at NFL.com is one of the “many”.

Mel has had us going D the whole time starting out with us going Everette Brown. He is now on Cushing even though Matthews, Brown and Michael Jenkins are still on the board. Mel also has Maybin going #10 even though everywhere I look he is dropping rapidly, maybe even out of the 1st round. McShay has us going Ayers. I get a very strong feeling that little research into Texans’ needs has been done by either of them.

From what I have seen I would give TT, Riott or Chris & Kyle from diehards a better chance at picking the 1st round than the self proclaimed “experts” at ESPN or NFL.com.

Chris Wells? Do these guys watch Texan’s football? Are obvious first concern is Defense, and with Chris Brown hopefully healthy I see no way we take a RB in the first round…idiots wow

Team Needs

We could use help at CB, FS, DT, and OLB. I think we’d also love to acquire another DE to spell Antonio Smith, though DE isn’t as huge of a priority it was before his signing.

Oh, and a big RB to spell Slaton. But not in the first round.

Hmm... Our star running back was drafted

in the third round. Of course we should get his back up in the first round. I listen to the guys on the nfl channel and usually Kirwin seems to know what he is talking about, I’m guessing just not on the Texans.
