Texans sign Shaun Cody to 3 yr Deal

John Clayton reports the Texans sign Detroit free agent DT Shaun Cody. I guess this pretty much eliminates any chances we draft a DT on the first day. I think Cody could really push Travis Johnson for a starting spot. This also makes me wonder about Frank Okam's progress, but we probablly shouldn't read to much into it.

So Shaun Cody...

Who couldn’t start for the worst team in the history of the NFL, and one of the worst defenses of last season – might start for us?

I’ll eat my hat if that happens. Shaun Cody is a depth DL, nothing more. It shouldn’t change our draft plans for a DT at ALL. THey were never going to take a DT in the first anyway, and they should definitely still be looking for their NT of the future – cuz his name is most definitely not Travis Johnson or Shaun Cody.
