Cedric Benson Signs With Cincy

I for one am rather relieved by this development. I don't think Benson would have been a great fit here, and I don't blame him for going where he can start and be paid accordingly. Signing with the Texans, from a financial and playing time perspective, would have been pure folly. Best of luck to him in Ohio.

Odd.

Somehow, beef logged in with Chris’ account info.

Yay, sports.

Explains what happened to all my Longhorn-related bookmarks.

It also explains some of the new bookmarks. I’m gonna need some therapy.

FA or Draft?

So does this mean we will draft a big back.

If you look at the remaining FA list

Then yeah, it has to be the draft – but really, that was always the best way to handle it. I’m kind of hoping that by picking up that 4th-rounder we got for Sage, that the team might at least consider using a third on a RB. It sure worked last year.

Concur

I figure the Texans add a RB no sooner than Round Three and no later than Round Six.

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

You know the Broncos are going to want him too… then again, maybe with their attempt to trade for Cutler, they’re going to change their offense more than I thought.

I love me some Gartrell.

True.

That’s why I think we have to consider pulling the trigger on him earlier than his projected slot. Maybe package our three and one of the fours to move up in the third and snag him. Something like that. He’s too perfect of a back for us not to make a play.

Yay, sports.
