With The Fifth Overall Pick Of The 2009 BRB Interactive Mock Draft, Cleveland Selects...
The BRB voting public narrowly decided that, despite the recent addition of T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Seattle's taking Michael Crabtree with the fourth overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. That puts Cleveland on the clock until 2 p.m. CST. In what direction are they headed?

Yes they need a linebacker here
But if I was Eric Mangini here I would have only one thought on my mind: stabilizing Anderquinn. Both of those players have excellent potential and neither could hold themselves together, I take Monroe here in hopes that the added protection gets at least one of the two back on track. You don’t win games with a rattled QB, no matter how good your linebackers are.
"There was a pretty good group of free agent quarterbacks out there and, after studying them all, I liked the fact that he's young and I like the fact he's a mirror image of the guy we have (Matt Schaub) so when we're coaching Matt, we're coaching him, too." - Gary Kubiak on new Texans QB Dan Orlovsky
Matt Schaub = Safety Dan. We're in trouble.
Tackle...
Didn’t they just sign another big money tackle to man the other side of Thomas? That’s the reason I went Everette Brown. That, and fuck Orakpo, that’s why.

I followed up on that "big money tackle"
And no they didn’t. They signed John St. Clair, an average right tackle to compete with average right tackle Ryan Tucker for playing time.

Monroe it is, then...
They could sure use some DB help, though.

Trade...........
Now that the Cutler sweepstakes has started( and Cleveland was a intrested party last time round) I say we trade Quinn and # 5 and #50 picks for Cutler and #12 pick. Then with the 5 Denver can take Mark Sanchez and with 12 Cleveland can still get a premium pass rusher ( Brown, Jackson, or Ayers) or solidify their backfield with a homegrown Beanie Wells, the rare NCAA star who WANTS to play in Cleveland. And leave D.A.as a solid but expensive backup.
That Trade
Would be great for the Browns and not nearly as good for the Broncos. I’m admittedly not buying Quinn as a good starting QB in the NFL. Still, if I’m Denver, you’re not getting my No. 12 pick and Cutler for Quinn, the No. 5, and the No. 50. Cutler for the No. 12, Quinn, and the No. 50? Done deal, if I’m Denver. But I’m betting Cleveland won’t get taken to the woodshed like that.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...
