Uh-oh. John McClain is reporting that Amobi Okoye is experiencing tenderness and soreness in his knee that may or may not need an MRI. Amobi was quoted as saying:
"There's a little soreness there," he said. "Hopefully, it's nothing big. We’re taking a look at it. Going out there and running, it's not really inhibiting me, but I can feel a little bit of soreness. I’ll take it day by day and see if it gets worse or if it gets any better.
"I wouldn't necessarily say it's worrisome. Let's hope it doesn't get worrisome."
When I first saw this, my heart caught in my throat. We really need Amobi to play to and beyond the level he played at his rookie year, before he regressed last year. Amobi went on to say that he's going to give it two weeks, and if it's still sore he's going to get a MRI then. Gary Kubiak commented that he thinks everyone is sore from the conditioning program but he is meeting with Amobi today nonetheless.
Hopefully, this is nothing and the knee is fine. Hopefully.
