The Falcs need an OLB so bad it hurts

But anyone below Barwin and Cushing, who both just left the board, is a bit of a reach in round one…and we had a bit of a run on OLB’s in our draft. I’ll vote for Davis here, they could use a corner too, but I think come April 25th Cushing or someone similar will fall into their laps.

Brandon Pettigrew is the best pick here

Falcons need a quality tight end. Pettigrew is a better fit than Sintim, Laurinitas, English or any of the corners. If it comes to this, and none of the “premier” 4-3 OLB’s are available, they will go BPA, and that is Pettigrew. I’ll bet they adress OLB in the 2nd or 3rd with Tyrone McKinzie or Marcus Freeman

Agreed

I was thinking the same thing but he wasn’t on the poll. However I think on draft day the Eagles will probably grab Pettigrew before he can fall to Atlanta.

I just have this feeling

That the Iggles are going to manage to jack up this draft. They don’t want to do anything to help McNabb. On offense, they need a pass catching TE, a a big back to support Westbrook, a real #1 WR, and a left tackle. Braylon Edwards, Anquan Boldin, Antonio Bryant, Torry Holt, Lance Moore, Kellen Winslow, TJ Housmazadeh, Chad “Im an Idiot” Ocho Cinco – Johnson, Jason Peters, Tyson Clabo, Orlando Pace, and Vernon Carey were or still all available through FA or trade, and we have heard no report that they have ever bid. Sure, they have alot of picks, but if one of those 1sts and one of the 3rds or 4ths = Anquan Boldin, then I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat. No bottom first round pick will have nearly as much impact as Boldin, and as much as Eagles fans would like to believe, McNabb doesn’t have all that long remaining as a premier QB.

Let The Jacking Begin!

Per Jay Glazer, the Eagles just acquired Jason Peters from Buffalo.

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Nice!

Seems like a good move for both teams, the Eagles get the starting LT they desperately needed and the Bills can likely use the 28th pick to fill the hole with Britton or Beatty and they can avoid the Peters dilemma. That also make Buffalo contenders for Andre Smith if he slips to 11.

Now the Eagles have one round one pick and it will be interesting to see how they spend it. I doubt they will trade away their other round one pick on one of those receivers now, even though it would probably be a smart move if they could late Boldin or Ocho Cinco. BTW Riott, TJ Housh was signed by Seattle a while back, but good call on Peters.

I knew TJ was signed

but when he was on the market the Eagles didn’t make a play for him. Hence the “were or still are available”.
