What do you see in the Crystal Ball?
Can you see Houston trading down and taking a LB or a WR late in 1st round? I think that they need a bigger threat across from A.J. next year to reach the playoffs. Someone like Harvin or Bey late in the round or even reaching with Nicks if that late in the round.
My thinking is that they will take a big bodied back to tandem with Slaton in the 3rd or 4th down. Someone like James Davis or Shonn Greene would fit well in a 2 back system.

LB yes
WR no. Aside from the fact that I’m personally very comfortable with K-dub as our # 2 WR, Smithiak also seems comfortable with him.
This isn’t to say that it would be impossible to upgrade the WR position, but it would be a small upgrade at WR, whereas if we draft a LB or FS the increase would be much more noticeable.
You are 80 percent right
They will probably try and trade down, from pick 15, especially if both Matthews and Cushing are still on the board when our pick comes around and Jenkins isn’t. You are also right about them probably taking a power back in round 3 or 4, and both Davis and Greene are possibilities.
However, like Tailgate said, with both Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels on the field there is no reason Walter should be replaced. He may not be the most physically gifted receiver on the field, but he’s good enough, and he certainly has a knack for making big plays when they matter. Andre Davis is a solid 3rd receiver as well.
"There was a pretty good group of free agent quarterbacks out there and, after studying them all, I liked the fact that he's young and I like the fact he's a mirror image of the guy we have (Matt Schaub) so when we're coaching Matt, we're coaching him, too." - Gary Kubiak on new Texans QB Dan Orlovsky
Matt Schaub = Safety Dan. We're in trouble.
What Everyone Else Said
WR is pretty far down the list. The only way I could see a WR to HOU in Round One is if Crabtree somehow fell to us at 15.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...
WR is arguably our strongest position group but...........
there’s always room for a superstar, so in the EXTREMELY unlikely event that Crabtree falls to us, I would want us to take him, like Tim already said, without hesitation. We could still make good progress filling D needs with the next 3 picks if we get incredibly lucky in the 1st. As much as we need D help, the thought of lining up AJ, Crabtree & OD with KDub in the slot is (insert superlative of your choice here, because I can’t think of one that would do it justice).
