Well

It is a formula involving the tender made to a Restricted Free Agent, the square root of the heat-of-the-beat, and the tangential motion of the ocean.

So you're saying that now I have to think of some witty Sig that will be applicable across all the SBN sites? Go TexanHornStros!

by Shake on Apr 26, 2009 3:55 PM CDT up reply actions

Super secret formula

But basically you have to lose a free agent and have them get signed at a high salary. Then you earn compensatory picks.

by socctty on Apr 26, 2009 3:55 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah

They rescinded the tag within hours of drafting Curry yesterday.

Do we bother trying to go after him?

I wonder if we could have traded #15 to SEA for the rights to Hill.

I'm a TE! Can the Texans draft me in the 7th?

Been reading this blog for a while. Decided to join in after this puzzling draft. Now, if I could design an offense that has 11 TE’s on the field at once….

Kevin Ogletree, WR, 4
Ricky Jean Francois, DT, 4

Using the NFL.com draft needs, the following teams ahead of us need RBs:

Tampa Bay
Buffalo

I think they both grab one. Buffalo especially, with Lynch on suspension. They have Dom Rhodes and that guy that used to play in the CFL, but I think they need something else. Tampa Bay is hurting, too.

Only other one I can think of - and it's a stretch - Packers

So Jennings will probably be there – but again, if we wanted him, he’d already be a Texan.

Maybe not specifically him

But a group of RBs that they’d be satisfied picking from.

The further you get from the first round, the harder it is to project where guys get drafted, but it’s not a stretch to think that the front office has a general idea of who is going where.

This is obviously why I don't work for an NFL team

Because this does not make any sense to me. How can we not take a running back? We took three defensive backs but not one running back? I obviously wouldn’t make it as a pro scout.

Nolan

It looks like he attended the same high school that I was watching on “Drag High” on the Speed channel. That has to count for something.

So you're saying that now I have to think of some witty Sig that will be applicable across all the SBN sites? Go TexanHornStros!

Hasta...

I’m off to tear apart the rear suspension of my garage toy. And I guess I should make sure the kids haven’t killed each other or the dog yet.

Welcome Troy Nolan

Post is up on the main page.

Thanks everyone for making our draft coverage a success. I’m out.

You know... for kids.

from Mclain

I’m still shocked they drafted tight ends in consecutive rounds rather than a running back. They wanted Shonn Greene and Glen Coffee, but they were taken. Remember, they want a back who excels in the one-cut system or a back they believe can learn the system.

Is it just me

Or do you all find the amount of faith placed in our current running back corps- minus Steve Slaton, to be a little bit curious?
