WTF is Draft Tek thinking?
I periodically check some mocks, and Draft Tek is one of them. Sometimes they seem to be on point and then other times it seems they've been talking to the ESPN clown, Todd McShay.
Last week Draft Tek had us going Clay3 at #15 and Sean Smith at #46. Good picks for our need areas. The Clay3 steroid rumor hadn't surfaced yet. Smith would be a sweet pick if he is there at #46. Today's v34 though is completely different. Apparently they think we have a player ticketed for SLB already on the roster, because in their latest version, we are not drafting an OLB in any round. Maybe they think Cato June is slated to be the starting WLB and either Adibi or Bentley will play SLB.
Worse yet they have us taking RB & TE in the 1st and 3rd rounds. Our offense is our weakness? If we draft offense in the 1st 2 rounds, I hope it is a G/C hybrid, not a skill position player.
They currently project: 1) Knowshon Moreno, RB (over Clay3, Maybin, M. Johnson, Vontae Davis, Peria Jerry and Maclin). When did Gibbs or Kubiak last ever draft a RB in the 1st round? 2) Darius Butler, CB - a solid pick, but over Sean Smith who they project to go 51st to the Cowgirls. Chris at Diehards will love that pick. 3) Chase Coffman, TE, Missouri. A nice player but don't we already have a Pro Bowler in OD? What are these guys smokin? Thought you might find this amusing. I did.

I did not intend for that to be one jumbled paragraph. I actually hit the Enter key a few times.
Not sure why no spaces are there. Sorry about that.

Draf Tek
They have by far one of the best drafing algorithms developed. But it’s the old saying…"bad data in, "…
Someone must have made some retarded changes to the Team Needs matrix for the Texans between those 2 versions. Hopefully, someone not named McShay or Kiper will update the needs appropriately.

I do like the fact
That they have Smith going so late in both drafts, I don’t think he is worth out pick at 15 but having him there for us at 46 I would sneak into the convention pretend to be Rick Smith, and tell Goodell that he is ours. Seriously, unless we took Jenkins in round one if Smith falls to us in round 2 we better take him. You hear me RICK?!

I'm with you there, but the buzz on the Texan's blogs is that he won't drop to 46
but a good portion of the draft lists I check say that he will. I think we have at worst a 50/50 chance of getting him if we keep our current slots. If we trade down and pick up a lower 1st and a higher 2nd then I think we have a real good chance of getting him.
