On Travis Johnson
Coach Gary Kubiak revealed that NT Travis Johnson is sitting out OTAs due to hamstring, pelvis, and knee issues.
Johnson is also in a contract season, but hasn't played consistently enough to be a candidate for an extension. He's still likely to start this year. Source: houstontexans.com
On Steve Slaton
Steve Slaton says he gained nine pounds of muscle this offseason.
"I had a little problem with third-and-short, and that’ll hopefully help me move the pile a little bit more," he said. The Texans would prefer another back to emerge as a short-yardage specialist, but Slaton should get a chance. Source: houstontexans.com

Slaton
Although I hope someone steps up to be the sledgehammer on third and short, I love the idea of Slaton putting on that muscle and assuming it’s his load to carry.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...
Hamstring, Pelvis, and Knee issues?
Damn, no wonder he’s been awful all these years, half his leg is fubar :D
Johnson better get his expletive off the bench and save his job or he’ll be selling used cars in 2010.

He's done
After hearing this – I really think he’s done. They’ll cut his ass.
One day working out and getting ready for OTAs and his entire lower-body blows up on him. Goodbye, Travis.
Plus, what’s this going to be – his fifth year? And Kubiak said “he has a long, long way to go as a player?!”
Goodbye. Not just one long, but long, LONG way to go. Goodbye.
