Manning Upset with Coaching Changes in Indy: The Best Thing Ever, or the Best Thing of All Time? You Decide.
According to this article, Peyton Manning is disappointed with the coaching changes in Indy. He has not been properly informed about what is going on, and feels out of the loop.
This is awesome. An upset Manning equals a successful division record for our Houston Texans. I hate when people say , "We need to beat them at their best." We need to simply beat the Mannings of Indianapolis, and an upset Peyton with locker room and front office confusion is the best way to do it.

I believe this story is being blown out of proportion…I do not think this is at all the falling out of manning and the colts staff that espn is implying it to be…While it is rare that manning voice his opinion…it is still manning behind the wheel of the colts…lets not get to excited

I think Manning truly was concerned
Yes he is a great QB and field general, but he has enjoyed extreme continuity playing for only one OC and OL coach in his tenure with the Colts. Last week it was being reported that both Tom Moore (OC) and Howard Mudd (OL) would have to stay away from the team for 6 months, which would have been a huge negative for Indy.
The latest news though is not as good for the Texans:
“Larry Kennan, executive director of the NFL Coaches Association, admitted to ESPN senior analyst Chris Mortensen that he has been confused, too, but he got word late Tuesday afternoon that Moore and Mudd can now return to the Colts as consultants, but they are not eligible to go back into the pension plan for six months.
Kennan said clarification was provided by an attorney working on behalf of ERISA — the Employment Retired Income Security Act, the government agency that regulates pension plans.
“As long as Howard and Tom pay their own taxes for the next six months, they can return to the Colts as paid consultants, I’d say effective right away, based on what the ERISA attorney just told me,” Kennan said."
Had Mudd and Moore been banned from the Colts until October, this would have really hurt the Colts. As good as Manning is, the coaching staff is a huge part of his success. Since they will now likely be there as consultants, there should be little to no effect on the Colts offense. Too bad. It was looking pretty interesting there for a short while.
It took the Astros 44 years to get to the Series, the Oilers-Texans are due to get to the big dance...Go Texans!!!!!
