WANTED: More Writers At BRB

Interested in becoming a regular writer/contributor here at BRB? If so, we've got great news for you: We're taking applications. As you've probably noticed, things have slowed down here a bit lately. While some of that is simply the result of the NFL calendar, some of it is due to life getting in the way of blogging. As a result, TransientTexan and I are asking for help.

So here's what we're looking for: One or two new voices who will commit to getting four (4) new posts up each week. We want to begin implementing a "Daily Links" feature on the site; doing that alone would be good for at least five new posts each week, so the work load shouldn't be too overwhelming. In addition to that, you'd also of course be free to wax poetic about any other topic Texan and/or NFL-related.

Intrigued? Then e-mail us a potential post on anything Houston Texan to battleredblog@gmail.com by Thursday, June 18th at noon. I promise you that TT and I will read everything that comes in to us and get back to you as quickly as we can. Thanks in advance to everyone who writes in; we're looking forward to making BRB even better.

I nominate Scott

Yep. I just did that.

So you're saying that now I have to think of some witty Sig that will be applicable across all the SBN sites? Go TexanHornStroKets!

(Chugging Zima)

I’ll start writing now!

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Speaking of writers gone by the wayside

What happened to last year’s recruits? Solis, Aaron, etc. just disappear without a trace. Exactly how deep are your connections to the local mafia?

Aaron and Solis

Aaron got very busy at work and had to take a step back. I have no idea what happened to Solis; I haven’t heard from him since shortly after the Super Bowl.

A&S

Yeah, Aaron barely had time from Day 1.

I wonder if Uncle Sam finally blocked Solis…..or if he won a lifetime pass to the chicken ranch.

I nominate EveryHoustonTeamRox to do your daily links. He pretty much already does it with fanposts.

I saw Solis at Reliant a couple of months ago, so I can confirm that he is alive.

Tim

You do a great job here. You are a class act and I’m sure the people you find will continue the tradition.

Smushiak will take us to the playoffs in 2009.

Thanks, Phil

It’s very important to both TT and I that we keep on churning out new content for everyone. The thing that makes BRB special is the interaction among all of us fans, and that can get stymied if there’s not enough stuff to get people talking. We’re hoping that the addition of another voice or two will keep the dialogue going, even during the glacial pace of the offseason.

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Tim, I just sent you a couple of my old articles from HoustonProFootball.com in an email. I will try to get you something more current this evening. Thanks!
