I can't look past the pony tail..
I feel like my girl friend when I say this…I mean she goes for the team with the “cutest” or “prettiest” jerseys…but I just don’t like the man…and it is purely based on his pony tail and not play…I am ashamed.

I'm not a big fan of pony tails either....
But he’s a 22 year old kid. When I was 20 I had longer hair than Cushing’s by far and would tie it back occasionally. Of course this was back in the 90s and was a little more common, but even if that never happened I couldn’t really hold a grudge for a kid growing his hair out. When I go back a few years before that…. Ech, I don’t even want to think about hair and clothing style in the 80s. It puts Cushing’s Pony tail to shame. Point is we’ve probably all done more humiliating things than wearing our hair in a pony tail, it’s really not that big a deal.

...who also has long hair.
Hey, I have long hair too… but I live in Austin, so I get a pass, right? I don’t wear man-capris or crocs, though.

alright you got me...
i can’t argue with that…and you get a pass for the lack of man-capris and crocs…but if you own more than 5 Hawaiian shirts that you leave loosely buttoned then your pass is revoked.

LOL!!
Anyone who ever sees me wearing a Hawaiian shirt has a free pass to hit me with a brick!

Pretty much old news
Good post EHTR, but Kubiak has been honking this horn since before he even drafted Cushing. I would have thought something was wrong with the guy if he wasn’t on the field on opening day.

i love it koanak!!!!! He could get on the coach’s tower during pre-game warmups with the shaved head and mask, and get a megaphone and scream at the opposing team “Just walk away, we have all lost someone we love!!!!” “walk away and prevent further bloodshed!!!” JUST WALK AWAY, FORFIET BEFORE YOU GET YOURSELVES KILLED!!!"

i like it
the long hair….haha. i mean it suits him. He looks like he means business w/ that ponytail. I got no prob w/ it. And considering he looks like the most massive linebacker to suit up in battle red, i can’t really complain w/ that either. So if he’s starting, where does that leave Diles, Adibi, and June? How many linebackers are the Texans willing to fill the roster w/? From what I remember we still have Bentley and Thompson from last year. Are we planning on keeping 7-8 linebackers? I know I might sound stupid, but I don’t know the typical # of lb’s the Texans usually keep per game. I was under the impression we’d go to war each Sunday w/ 5…purely a guess. I know there are alot of people bitter about the Cushing pick, but the more I hear the guy being interviewed, see his highlights of OTAs, and see how well he fills out a Texans jersey, I’m gettin excited. I know this is undue optimism….i really can’t help it.
