The Texans ranked number 22 by fans???

NFL Network announced that we are number twenty two by the fans!!! WTF!!!!! I cant wait to shove it in everyone's face when we make a playoff run this year. I mean seriously? they're gonna rank our NUMBER THREE OFFENSE and our SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVING DEFENSE with our new draft class and our TWO 8-8 RECORDS 22nd!!?!?!?! Sometimes the fan base pisses me off. I mean seriously. Look at these stats n facts! Does this look like the NFL's 22nd ranked team??

Andre-1,575 yds. 115 catches. Along with K-Dubs 899 yds and 60 receptions thats a massive 175 catches for 2,474 yards. Only ten catches less than Fitzgerald-Boldin and 5 yards more than the "spectacular WR tandem"

If Schaub would've played all 16 games his stats would've looked like this. 4,426 yards and 25 total touchdowns.

Steve "Slash" Slaton-1,659 scrimmage yards and 10 tds.

Mario had twelve sacks last year and Capt. Meco had 112 tackles last year!!

Brian "Crushing" Cushing/Steven Seagal is going to tear it up and Barwin and Smith are only going to make us better.

Fkn fan base. EAT THAT!!

Unfair ranking.....but highly deserved

I love ’em, but sequential 8-8 seasons do not deserve any national respect from the fans. Screw pre-season fan polls anyway……they may actually be more meaningless for the NFL than even CFB.

So you're saying that now I have to think of some witty Sig that will be applicable across all the SBN sites? Go TexanHornStroKets!

Well this still underrates us

8-8 is average, which would mean a ranking of around 16. So we’re still not on the casual fans radar. Which is cool. Because fuck them.

When I'm on the mic, I'm like global warming, you can't ignore me.

It’s really more about the market and individual team’s fanbases than any real opinion of the Texans. Polls like this pretty much break down into a popularity contest, fans will usually predict/hope for the best possible scenerio for their team so you end up with alot of people voting teams like the Seahawks, Bills, Jets ect, WAY ahead of where they’ll probably actually finish which pushes teams that will probably finish ahead of them down. It’s not that fans are stupid, they just vote for the teams they like or those that they’ve heard of and the Texans hardly ever pop up in the national media because they haven’t proven themselves to be contenders yet and they don’t have jerk offs on their team showing up in bad headlines so most people outside of Houston fans don’t really think of the Texans very much.

I’ve got to agree with you there. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised by how our team plays this year. Although, I’ve heard a few columnists predicting us to get a wildcard spot.

The experts and analysts all have us higher

But the fans are all going to vote on how well they’ve seen us do in previous years. 22 is what we have earned, not what we might earn.

Fan Rankings

We are right where we belong until we can prove we are good in the redzone and we can protect our starting QB. That is why we stay 8 and 8. How did we improve our protection and holding onto the ball? The rankings will improve when we have a QB finish the season healthy. It is hard to make the playoffs without your starter regardless of improvements you made.

Fans dont know crap

I spend so much time trying to make my case that the Texans are a good team. Our record didnt show that last year. We had a rough start, but we are better that a 8-8 record. Unforntunatly, all fans look at our records and not the potential talent we have. But records are the only thing that mean anything and thats how we judge teams.

We will prove our greatness this year!!
