Completly pointless offseason chewings...
Boys and Girls, to me it's the most escruciating time of year in my opinion. Football is close enough to smell yet still months away. Baseball is great when the Astros are good, but they aint, and the Rockets are gone so I could care less about the NBA so I'm writing some crap that's been stuck in my head for a while now.
I believe that the Texans are going to make a serious jump this season. Not just based on thier draft, but just the fact that the team, thier coaches and management are getting older and wiser. Of course, the best part about being a Texans fan is if they win 9 games, we can still say they improved. I am so sick of non Texans fans telling me how bad my team is because they haven't went to the playoffs or had a winning season, my response is " they haven't had a losing season in two years", but that's still a pretty pathetic response, so I'm counting on my team becoming know for something other than 8-8 seasons and I think that will happen this year. I mean we don't even have an embarrassing playoff collapse to call our own yet!
Stupid question #1: If you could be guaranteed a superbowl victory this season, and the Texans be 8-8 for the next
10 years would you take it? Or would you rather the Texans be contenders for the next 10 years and no guarantee of even a playoffs?
#2 The Texans play the Colts, Titans, Colts during a stretch this upcoming season. We can't win all three, can we? So do we want to beat the Colts twice and get beat by the oilers on MNF, or lose to the colts once and beat the tits?
I'm just bored, hope everyone has a great summer!

1) SUPER BOWL!! I’d take it every time. I’ll just watch that SB Victory DVD for the next 10 years.
2) Gotta win on MNF!

1. Not only would I take 8-8 for the next 10 years if it meant a Super Bowl ring in ‘09, I would also willingly give up a finger. Not a thumb, though. That’s all that separates us from the animals.
2. If I have to go 2-1 in that stretch, give me a split against the Colts and a win over Bud Adams’ minions.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

#1. contenders for the next 10 years, maybe we can win more than 1 superbowl in that span. 10 years of serious contending is a long run.
#2. beat them all, but if not then lets drop 1 to the colts and kill the oilers on MNF

While the Oilers got close several times and had a great run with Moon @ QB
they never got to the big game.
1) Seeing the Texans win the Superbowl would (as Jerry Tom Maguire Cruise said) complete me. I have been fantasizing about seeing our hometown team in the big game for way too long. Ten years of mediocrity is a fair trade for one ring.
2) If we can’t win all three then it would be much better to win the 2 home games, including the one on MNF over Bud’s Bunch, but one of these days we are going to win in Indy. We were close last year, so why not finish the deal this year. I like Bum’s quote about kickin’ the SOB door down. Let’s win all 3.
It took the Astros 44 years to get to the Series, the Oilers-Texans are due to get to the big dance...Go Texans!!!!!
