Over/Under
I know many people don't like Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, but he does do a decent job at publishing news and rumors pertaining to the NFL on a daily basis. PFT has been expanding of late into other media arenas like TV segments. Their TV segments are short analytical posts pertaining to some current NFL issue. The latest PFTV segment published was a post detailing their predictions for each AFC South team in the format of Over/Under. I wanted to post this up for your perusal because I thought it was a good idea and plan on doing similar interactive Over/Under predicitions but not until at least training camps commence. Let me know if this is something you're interested in.

Gotta love Florio's prediction
Texans win 10+ games and go to the playoffs. I’ll take that. Who wouldn’t? Also interesting that he went under 11 wins for both the Colts and the Tits. 3 way tie for 1st place? If so that makes the division games critical. We better not get off to a slow start. Week 2 @ Tenn and Wk 3 vs Jax are big early games. Then games 9-12, with a bye after game 9, are all in the division. That’s an odd schedule, and likely will be a make or break stretch for whether or not we are playing the ever elusive meaningful games in December.
It took the Astros 44 years to get to the Series, the Oilers-Texans are due to get to the big dance...Go Texans!!!!!

Nice..
We have one of the easier Schedules besides our own division that if we don’t win more then 8 or 9, It would be a sever disappointment to me…and without saying most likely the end of Kubes
I wish people would stop saying that....
about Kubes.
Difficulty in getting over the hump (a hump we thought we’d never see after Capers/Casserly) and complete team implosion are two very different things.
I will agree with cutting him loose if the team completely implodes and loses all confidence in what he’s coaching/saying. On the other hand, what if we drop 3-4 really close games, or another hurricane hits, derailing a decent season’s hopes? You’re willing to throw Kubes to the wolves and forget about how far he’s taken us, as a rookie Head Coach?
I would really appreciate this mindset leaving our fanbase. Sadly, I have no faith that it will.

Agree
If McNair stuck with Capers/Casserly for too long, there’s no reason to think that he’d give up on Kubes, who is actually making real progress with the team.

oh yea
believe me I am not for Kubes leaving at all…even if we go 7-9 this year…Although we have had a short history I am just saying from our last coaching experience when we start to make progress than drop off…if history repeats itself Kubes will be gone..I love Kubiak and think he is an amazing coach… I would not want to see him go at all and think it would be a mistake if this did happen and we did let him go…none the less we wont have to worry about it because we will be in the playoffs this year
right...
And I didn’t want you to think I was shaking my finger at YOU, and putting words in your mouth. I just get the feathers ruffled when ANYONE mentions it as a given.
When you mentioned the previous regime’s slight climb and dip, that dip was a complete implosion that I referred to. Players stopped caring, and gave up on Capers. If that happens, regardless of record, it would be time for Kubes to go. I just don’t like the assumption.
good stuff.

Love the Over but it's wwwwaaaayyyy to early!
Come on, training camp hasn’t even started. Now if this was after preseason game #2 I’d really love hearing it. I’m going with 12-4 this season and a wildcard berth at a minimum.
I'll take the over on the Texans...
Here’s some more over/unders for you:
12 – number of games Schaub starts; I’ll take the over
0 – season turnover ratio; I’ll take the over
12 – number of times Super Mario wraps up a QB; I’ll take the over
115 – number of receptions by AJ; I’ll take the over
6 – number of starts by Sage Rosenfels; I’ll take the under
4 – number of days that HoustonDiehards can go without posting that he has a blog; under
It will happen
