His inability to cleanly field punts coupled with his almost complete nonexistence as a wideout have put him in a tenuous position headed into camp. Clearly Brice McCain was brought in to compete for the punt return position and Jacoby is not assured a roster spot. I believe Kubiak will give both players a full opportunity to win the punt return position. Both have excellent wheels. We have seen Jacoby at his best and worst. Now we will see if Jacoby can rise to the occasion. If he cannot, then likely he will be wearing a different uniform in September.
