Ho-hum Summer Story: Texans' "Git 'Er Dun" Offense
Dave Mundy of bleacher report is trying to HELP US GET THROUGH THE SUMMER with his brand of a mundane non-story about how the West Coast offense has evolved into what he coined the Texans' "Git 'Er Dun" Offense. He traces the roots of the West Coast offense from the days of Air Coryell, eventually to Bill Walsh, then Mike Shanahan and finally Gary Kubiak and Kyle Shanahan. Mundy goes on to say that while wide receivers in the NFL tend to be flashy on the field and sometimes trouble off the field, that isn't the case with the Texans' receiving corps, which coincidentally matches the city of Houston's blue-collar philosophy, with the mention of Andre Johnson as the example of that. So, YES, I know it is summertime, and YES, sometimes writers have to dig for stories to fill space on a white page, and YES, it's nice to have some coverage on your hometown team....so I have to give him credit...he met his deadline...kudos to you Dave Mundy! Anyways, here is my favorite quote: "Johnson lets Kubiak call the shots and he catches the ball." There you go!!! It's a LONG SUMMER!!! It is a 3-page story, so click to see the whole story. There are some good quotes by Texans' players and coaches.

He Lost Me
With the “Larry The Cable Guy” reference. Eyes glazed over after that.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

I'm no Nazi
but I think people who use “Git ’er Dun” in any way should probably be executed.
Your friendly neighborhood Dream Shake mod.
