Vonta Leach Arrested

According to The Robesonian, Vonta Leach was arrested this week for misdemeanor simple assault when he hit a man in the face with a beer bottle (link via HDH; thanks Chris). Apparently there are two separate accounts of the story, and Leach claims that he was accosted and he then defended himself.
I love the Human Coke Machine, and so does the Robeson, NC area where Leach was arrested because of his extensive charity work in the area, which is his home. I don't have near the amount of information necessary to even speculate on his guilt or innocence, but I hope this works out for him.

Total support for Vonta.
Obviously he just got a little zealous in blocking an underage kid from buying beer. I hope he is in a o=good hospital. Vonta is a good blocker (he’s kept me from getting laid on more than 5 occasions!).

Misdemeanor simple assault is a wrist slap if thats the charge he received. Technically there can be a small amount of jail time with it, but if he takes any plea whatsoever then he will get some probation and community service. Unfortunately I know from experience >.> but Leach probably won’t miss a game or practice day from this.
He’s lucky they didn’t charge him with a felony like aggravated assault (attacking someone with a weapon including a beer bottle) or battery (because he actually hit the guy). Those could give him multiple years in jail and would be much harder to make disappear.
