Steve McNair Found Dead
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4306275
McNair, 36, suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville, police spokesperson Don Aaron said.
One of my favorite players of all time. One of the few classy members of the Titans. It's too bad his time in Houston was short, but in the years after the move, he was one of the reasons I could convince myself to watch the Titans. He deserved a Super Bowl ring.
RIP Steve.

What a tragedy.
A great player and reportedly a great guy, and he gave us one of the best superbowls ever – the one Bud lost.

Holy crap.
Just saw that on the news. I’ll miss the guy. Like you, SS, one of my favorite players. I hope they catch the bastard that did it.

painful
I really am hurt to see a class act guy like this have this happen to him. I don’t care about if he was cheating on someone or whatever the situation, A guy like Steve does’nt deserve this. God bless him and RIP.

Tragedy
McNair was an Oiler before he was a Titan; I clearly remember when he was drafted, though he didn’t play much before the move. Whatever I may think of his employer, I always respected McNair’s toughness and grit. The guy was a true gamer.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Its very tragic to lose a legend
Especially to have him die in such an infamous way. There’s evidence turning up about drugs and an affair tied to the shooting.
Pray for his family, they have to be hurting terribly right now.

The radio said it best
Forget who I was listening to but they said…The man and the player are two different things. Often we think because a man was a great player he was just as great off the field. While he did do charity and stuff like that for Tennessee it is a shame to see such a great player to be caught and ultimately ended in a way like this. Now you can say that the evidence is not in yet, but what more do you need…20 year old with a car in both there names, condo, frequent visits…and a apparent murder suicide. Terrible. Pray for his wife and kids.

I think ....
the drugs he may be referring to might be what happened a few days earlier when she got pulled over…officer had asked his she had been drinking, but she said no she had been smoking marijuana. That is my best guess and the only thing that I have seen in the news linked too McNair and drugs

Yeah
This waitress, who was apparently a family friend, has a drug history… not just with that one traffic stop. There’s no evidence to Mcnair using drugs directly, sorry if I didn’t make that clear. It seems Mcnair had been seeing her for months on the side and had started to make major purchases for her and ever move in with her.
The gun found at the crime scene was her’s, purchased recently….he was shot four times, she was shot once. There’s a very good chance its a murder / suicide by this mistress. Either way its a terrible thing.

Steve McNair was one of the toughest men ever to suit up in the NFL
Once he took over as the starting QB for the Oiler/Titans, he epitomized toughness and leadership. It is truly a tragedy that his good name is going to be sullied by this terrible shooting. He and his family deserve better.
It took the Astros 44 years to get to the Series, the Oilers-Texans are due to get to the big dance...Go Texans!!!!!
