Another Injury...Cato June Breaks Forearm
No solid link yet, but Adam Clanton is reporting in on Sports Radio 610 that Cato June left the field with a broken forearm. One of our deepest postions going into camp is now starting to look a little weak.
More on this as it develops.

yikes
Not a killer injury, but June would have been a good veteran LB backup.
Still leaves us with:
Cushing
Ryans
Adibi (depending on his injury)
Diles
Bentley
and now it looks like Buster Davis has a chance to make the squad.
Note to self: Insert something witty here.

Yeah, I really would have liked to have had Cato June here though. I would imagine he flat out gets waived now.

Kuharsky was on 610 this morning
…and he specifically called out Buster Davis (he didn’t know his name, just his number 58) as a guy who impressed him.
It will happen

No such thing as a good injury to one of the Texans, but...
this one does not hurt much. If we PUP Cato, he will still be able to mentor the young guys, which was going to be his primary role anyway. Would be nice to have him as a backup, and if the fracture is not too severe, he may be back after the first 3-4 games.
It took the Astros 44 years to get to the Series, the Oilers-Texans are due to get to the big dance...Go Texans!!!!!

Maybe he has an interest in coaching
I always saw him as a guy who seemed to always know where to be, and had the quickness to get there. Seems to me he will be a good teacher either here or somewhere else.

Can't he just go out there with a big cast and destroy people with it?

from the article
June said on his Twitter page he will undergo surgery later today to have a plate inserted in his forearm.
Generally, if it was just a break, then it would be possible (I played with a broken wrist one year). With the surgery and the plate, I think it would be more difficult.
Must’ve been a nasty break. /shudders/

That sucks
He would have been a good mentor to our young guys.

ESPN
Surprised those guys had time to report anything football related other than Vick, Burress, and Favre… ESPN use to be a good station but it has become more TMZ that sports entertainment over the last few years.

Agreed
Especially the way they tried to cover up the Ben Roethlisberger rape accusations like they were the Warren Commisiion or something…
