The Run D, well the D in general
I didn't get to watch as much of the game as I would have liked ,as I was in the awesome Inglorious Basterds, but form what I did see it appeared that we were giving way too much cushion to all the N.O. receivers which is amazingly frustrating but remember this we had at one time a 4th and 6th round pick covering a very good group of receivers who have all been in the league for a good amount of time. Not that makes me feel super about our D but it does make me take a step back, also I was listening to John Harris's rant on 1560 and said that Okam often took the wrong hole and that the D was way over slanted to the strong side almost the whole game. To me pre-season is a time when young players try o prove they belong and new coaches try to impress the boss and as Gregg Williams was just bounced by the Jags and hired to revamp the Saints D he wantec to how everyone how much of a bad ass he still is (and yes believe me as a skins fan as well I know all too well double g's arrogance). So I guess my point is that yes they sucked but they sucked against a great O, a back playing in his Super Bowl and a overall unfamiliarity with their new scheme. I say that if they look this bad against the Jets who have a new rokie Qb or worse Kellen Clemens then yes we should start to wonder and worry but me I'm just planning on enjoying a sport in which our owner isn't too cheap to actually improve the team (Thanks for Mike Hampton, Russ Ortiz and Aaron Boone especially as he has really helped out the youngsters on the team, Also I dislke Coop)

You make some valid points, but the Texans D was soooooo bad
that we can’t help but be concerned at least a little. Yes our CB’s were inexperienced and obviously overmatched, but the real concern was the complete lack of a run D. The Saints have a world class offense, but not because of their running game, because of Drew Brees. If we don’t play better against the Vikes on Monday night, then it is time to hit the panic button. Should be very interestin to see what the Texans front 7 can muster to try to contain Mr. Adrian Peterson, a true badass.
It took the Astros 44 years to get to the Series, the Oilers-Texans are due to get to the big dance...Go Texans!!!!!
