Chris Myers, out since early August with a high ankle sprain, is expected to rejoin the starting lineup Monday night.
Guard Chester Pitts isn't far behind, which means the Texans should have all five starters back by the first preseason game. It's good news for an offensive with a lot of fantasy stalwarts.

Texans NT Travis Johnson (sports hernia) is expected to miss the final two weeks of preseason action.
Johnson has fallen out of favor over the past few months, and there have whispers of the team shopping the 2005 first-rounder. He may not be more than a rotational lineman this season.

Texans DT Amobi Okoye is reportedly being pushed by Shaun Cody for the starting job.
The fallout from Mike Bell's 100-yard effort against the Texans last week? Okoye is a special talent, but he's been practically invisible since the second half of his rookie season. The Texans need major improvement from their defensive tackles.

Texans OLB Brian Cushing (sprained LCL) practiced without a knee brace Thursday.
Cushing's recovery is coming along well, and he's expected to play extensively in the final preseason game. Barring a setback, he should be at 100 percent for the regular season.

The Houston Chronicle hints that Xavier Adibi has won the Texans' starting job at weak-side linebacker.
Zach Diles moved to strong side when Brian Cushing (knee) went down midway through camp and will likely enter Week 1 as the top backup at all three spots. Adibi will be a three-down player and come cheap in IDP drafts.
