Texans Bringing In Former Saints CB Mike McKenzie
Pulling in another one from the scrap heap:
In addition to Deltha O'Neal and Jason Webster, the Texans are bringing in free agent CB Mike McKenzie for a tryout.
O'Neal might get the first look because he was with Gary Kubiak in Denver, but McKenzie has played the best football lately. Houston is also looking at free agent runners Andre Hall and Brad Lester. Lester wasn't drafted in April.

Fantastic...
Defense takes us to the playoffs this year so they had better be very serious about addressing the CB position. I like how Quin is developing but if Fred Bennett is your “veteran” you have some issues. They need to bring in McKenzie. He is good enough to start and doesn’t give up many big plays, though you can 5 yard him all day.
Webster is a huge risk and O’Neal is no better than Bennett.
And D-Rob needs to get his greedy ass to practice. What CB turns down 23 MILLION??

OD, Dunta for a Pro Bowl CB?
James Casey has been exceeding expectations in camp lately. If his blocking improves im sure he’ll be capable of starting and contributing to the offense much like OD. If that happens, would you be willing to trade OD, Dunta, and maybe a late round draft pick for a proven CB and a draft pick?

Definitely
For sure. Look, Dunta is a good corner and a great leader, but it’s awfully hard to lead from your living room. There are plenty of corners in the league who play a comparable game to Dunta’s and would LOVE to sign a $23M deal. I would hate to lose OD, but he was in the deal I would not see the need to include a Draft pick. I would say D-Rob and OD for a proven corner and 2nd round pick.
