Dunta Robinson
Here is an article from Jerome Solomon on Dunta
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/fb/texansfront/6564888.html
There it says that all Dunta wants is a gurantee that he wont be franchised...Now I'm no expert in this but WHY can't Rick Smith just gurantee that? Isn't it possible they need the tag for OD or Demeco or both?
Now i completly disagree about dunta deserving 23 million guranteed but franchising him 2 years in a row gives him 20 million right there anyways...

All Dunta Wants
He wants a promise not to be franchised and all that come with it. Actually, the way things are going, I say give it to him. Obviously, not management here, but go ahead Dunta. Who wants to franchise you next year anyways? I say, go out and take a free market deal…ungrateful SOB…
It will happen
Exactly
It seems like he’s holding out based on a purely semantic point. He doesn’t want to be franchised next year, fine. But now he’s trying to spin it like he’ll be able to go back and lead the team right away. I have a hard time believing that. If I were a teammate and I knew that he was trying to play hardball with the Texans over a supposedly small point like that, I would probably think less of his supposed locker-room leadership.
In the end this seems like Dunta is trying to save some face here. Maybe he realizes that he turned down an offer that was more than fair but feels like he can’t back down. I’m through with him.

At this point I don't think it's about the tag
I seriously doubt they use it on him next year, I think this is more about the Texans flexing strength for their next round of contracts, as in “If we think you earned it, we will give you what we think is fair, otherwise restricted FA tender for you OD and Demeco”
