Dunta Robinson Will Start Sunday & Team Captains Named

John McClain is reporting that Gary Kubiak has announced that Dunta Robinson will start Sunday against The Jets. Not a huge shocker, in my opinion. He also said that Kevin Walter has been upgraded to a game time decision and Eugene Wilson will not play. Nick Ferguson will start at Safety.
Also, team captains were named today:
- Offense: Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson
- Defense: Mario Williams, DeMeco Ryans
- Special Teams: Kris Brown, Kevin Bentley

No Wilson makes me a sad panda.
Seriously. We’re about to find out what it’s like to have well below-average play at both safety positions (again). In fact, we’re gonna be wishing we still had Earl and C.C. Brown. At the very least, I figure we won’t have to watch Barber shame himself in coverage since he’ll be in the box all night… But why not just start a linebacker at SS if that’s the goal? Time to see how our corners are though. They’re gonna get some serious one-on-one actions, methinks.
Now, I don’t want to make excuses before the game or anything, but we’re already getting dicked by injuries way more than I expected. No Frenchy and no Wilson basically takes away any element of speed we ever had in the secondary (unless Brice McCain can actually cover). Consider me worried.
