Texans were not ready for the Jets today..

I think this is the worse offense performance I have ever seen from the texans . The only thing missing is schaubs interceptions.

by Chris89 on Sep 13, 2009 2:18 PM CDT reply actions

they cant get past the 50 yard line lol

This is the big story.

An absolutely pitiful performance.

I can’t even knock Duane Brown today, because all the pressure has been up the middle. All of Duanes bad blocking has been inconsequential.

- Rivers McCown, From Mom's Basement

by riversmccown on Sep 13, 2009 2:19 PM CDT up reply actions

Brown has actually had a decent game.

Nobody else has though, at least not on offense.

If there's one thing I dislike about Kubiak

It’s that he has his system, and that’s ALL HE’LL DO! He won’t change a gameplan for a team, he won’t audible, he won’t do shit but stick to his guns.

Same ole texans

This team needs to stop basing their o-line on small athletic lineman because the rest of the nfl is changing toward the 3-4. They get overpowered like this all the time against 3-4 defenses.

I've seen Randy Moss in on those plays

Not a bad decision I guess, but you should probably put someone in there faster than a TE (although I guess he’s tall). And he should probably be knocking the ball to the ground instead of catching it.

Hey, Gary, can we draft more defensive players again next year?

Never mind that pesky offense stuff. Who needs that. Let’s draft nothing but defensive players again and leave the offense to those “who even bothers” later rounds! Yay! Defense!

In-VINCE-able.

symbolism: closing the roof mirrors teams attitude

I’m not sure the Texans want to be a football team…

I just moved to Houston last year. I can’t believe this business with closing the roof when the weather is great.

It is hard to get better football weather than today. At my house downtown, it only sprinkled, lightly, once this afternoon. And the sun was still shining while it sprinkled.

Why is the freaking roof closed? Afraid to get dirty? Actually if you watch the QB play, or the defense, or either line, or the safties…….most of the team is afraid to get dirty…..a bunch of wimpy players, coached by a wimpy coach……with a bunch of wimpy fans and a wimpy owner afraid of nearly perfect weather……

football teams play football outside…..football teams don’t run away from a 20% chance of light rain….

if the team is running away from light rain, no wonder they are not physical on the field….

good luck this season….sure looks a long way to go to get to the 10 or 12 wins that fans keep talking about on 610…..

Positives on this game

-Matt Schaub survived
-No Fumbles by JJ
-Defense stopped Thomas Jones (wonder why they couldn’t stop Leon?)
-Busing looks like he earned his roster spot
-Currently tied for 2nd in the division
-At least the Cougars cheered us up yesterday, so the weekend is a wash

I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but you appear to be unarmed.

by The Night Owl on Sep 13, 2009 5:25 PM CDT reply actions

??

Yeah they stopped him, except for that whole 107 rushing on 20 carries with 2 TDs thing. That stopped TJ cold.

Seriously

There are no positives from this game, except that it’s over. Can we stop with the “we stopped the running game for a half” as a positive?

Moot point

I guess at the end day slagging texan fans is like beating up a mentally disabled person. There is no honor or glory in it. I can just sit back and let their replacement team’s futility be punishment enough. Yes I was a fan of the Titans/Oilers waaaaay before 1997(try 1977) for the quizzling who asked before. Oh BTW for those whiners crying and complaining about Titans wearing “their” throwback oiler uni’s(which was posted in the tennessean & was the column that brought me here). We plan on wearing them 3 more times. This is not YOUR history or YOUR teams history to complain about us wearing OUR uni’s so get over it! “46”
