Let me preface this by saying I don't know the answer to this one.  It's early yet but a point of concern.

We are 2 games into the season, and Slaton has yet to do anything worthy.

Now I truly believe that the Jets defense will emerge from this season as the best Defense in the AFC.  Sounds crazy i know, but after watching them completely shut down two high powered offenses, and do it in a commanding way, I think they are on to something.

So that being said, I consider the Jets came something of a fluke because they were so well coached and played like a completely different defense.  They did stuff that we didn't see from Baltimore as well.

But the Titans are a different story.  Haynesworthe is gone and we know their scheme pretty well.

As for Slaton himself.  Maybe it's just me, but I don't "feel" the explosiveness there.  He also seems to be running into our own guys on a regular basis.

What is your diagnosis?  O-line issues?  Slaton having a sophmore slump?  Have other teams just seen this type of run game too many times?

If we are unable to run against Jacksonville, I think we will have to acknowledge that there are issues, not just kinks to be worked out.
