Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Insert your "Keep him away from Schaub!" joke here. Any thoughts on how Pollard's arrival could impact the less than stellar play we've seen from Barber and Ferguson?

I promise that I'll get something more substantial than a FanShot up tonight.

He was a second round pick

So we got that going for us.

A second chance

Sometimes standing on the outside looking in can give someone a little perspective on playing in the NFL. Hopefully, this guy can contribute and have that hunger to not lose a job in the NFL until he is old.

Also ended Brady's 08

Not that I’d wish for any serious injury to another player but, Peyton, be afraid…be very afraid.

So...

we signed a safety who is very good on special teams, hits hard, and can actually tackle? What’s the downside on this? At the worst he helps our special teams and is a situational run stopper from the safety spot and there’s a pretty good amount of upside.

see.......

third and long, draw play, screen play. if this guy can shore us up on that end, it’s gonna be awesome. i can’t wait to see him get out there on special teams and light somebody up!

From what my buddy the Chief fan says...

We’ll like him. He’s a monster on special teams, and is a sure tackler. He’s big 6’2" – 224.

No deep speed. Excells against the run, but don’t expect him to do anything special in coverage. Certainly not the long-term answer we’re looking for at SS, but eventually will be an upgrade over Barber, Busing, and Ferguson.

I like that David Gibbs wanted him. That’s a big endorsment.

I'm hearing same thing from Chief fans.

Plays hard. Hits hard. Can’t cover the pass.

I like this move, but...

The Texans have had several safeties who were hard hitters but couldn’t cover for shit. This is just another one.

That said – this guy has more talent than any of the players I’m referring to, he’s still very young, and uh… well, I’m hopeful.

Will Demps? Nick Ferguson?

Oh, you said hard hitters? I take Ferguson back.

Yeah, I think we’re on the same page on this one. Ran a 4.59 40 coming out, which isn’t too too horrible. Faster than Barber, at least.

Note to self: Insert something witty here.
