SITE NEWS: Comcast's Red Zone Hooks Up With Battle Red Blog
As many of you have no doubt seen on your television, Comcast has introduced their new Red Zone channel. Since we're a football blog with "red" in the name, Comcast approached us to get the word out. That, or they realized that SB Nation is a machine and that there's no better place to publicize a Red Zone channel than through SBN football blogs. One or the other. Regardless, we here at BRB are pleased to have Comcast as a sponsor of whatever it is we do here.
Let me assure you that this doesn't mean we're going to begin bombarding you with marketing messages or sales pitches. We’ll merely remind you every once in a while about some of the sports features available from Comcast, like Red Zone. And sometimes, we'll simply alert you to freebies.
Like this weekend.
On Sunday, October 4th, Comcast is providing Red Zone for free to all its customers from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tune in and watch stuff like On Demand content from the NFL Network, including game recaps of every game, draft profiles, player profiles, and the like. It's free, people. When was more football ever a bad thing?

"When was more football ever a bad thing?"
Well, if they’re going to have a highlight reel on David Carr, it would qualify as a bad thing.
Or maybe Nick Ferguson’s greatest tackles?
Note to self: Insert something witty here.
Nick Ferguson made a tackle?

Or more 60+ yard touchdown runs against the Texans defense...
The true test in the life of a Texans fan is how gracefully you endure it.
the 4th quarter of the Rosencopter game
that…was a bad thing

Yes
That was bad. Very, very bad. On the plus side, it makes games like last week’s seem pretty easy to stomach.

Comcast is the fucking devil
I wish that the company of comcast would burn in he’ll. They ducked me after Ike, and I will get my revenge someday!

You are banned from Blogging The Boys.
Does this mean we can’t talk about how it sucks that no other company has NFL Direct Ticket? Because that does, in fact, suck.

Not At All
It does suck. Hard.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Huh
AT&T U-Verse has this exact same thing. They have the NFL Network as part of the second (I think) tier and the Red Zone is included.
UVerse is coming out on saturday to my house...
….I predict catastrophic failure and no TV on Sunday…..

Not bad
Their DVR system isn’t as good as the satellite companies but so far I haven’t had any issues with them. Just make sure if you record a football game to record the show after the game as well. Otherwise I wouldn’t have had the last half hour of the last 2 Texans games.
I agree, I love Directv's DVR
I tried Uverse but hated their DVR so I went back to Direct TV and Sunday Ticket (have to be able to watch my Broncos at 3-0) but I did keep the ATT Uverse internet which is nothing short of amazing!! I’ve never been able to get over the price of comcast after the “introduction pricing” period.

Hey TexansForever
Shoot me an e-mail if you have any issues or need any tips for UVerse. Make sure you also watch their website to redeem any rebates.
I enjoyed RZC last week.
I watched the Texans with my family in the Houston area (Comcast) last week as opposed to being at home in Austin (Time F’n Warner), and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the RZC for the late games. I’d rather watch 5 games I don’t care too much about than be confined to just one boring one.
