Sticky Thread Suggestions

Hi everybody!

As Tim and I try to figure out how to do it in the first place, we are looking at creating an area for sticky threads, or threads that have a more permanent home on the front page. The most immediate thread that comes to mind is tGC's BRB glossary compilation, but I know there are several more we need. A couple other thoughts are a draft thoughts thread and one for introductions. What ideas might y'all have for sticky threads?

I knew it wasn’t about that kind of sticky. We all know that you use the word “texts” if you were referring to that kind of sticky. So yeah, Booyah.

The other three that you mentioned should definitely be stickied.

Know what made me laugh out loud in the “Everyone Freaking Relax” post? MDC talking noise about Texas’ schedule and implying Appalachain State was a joke…mere days before Michigan lost to Appalachain State.

I was hoping that was buried. It was only lack of a direct flight that kept me from flying up to Ann Arbor and killing Lloyd.

That said, I still claim Stanford over USC that same year was a bigger upset.

I'm not objective as I hate USC with a burning passion that may or may not equal the heat of a thousand suns

but I kind of agree. App at that could probably beat the pants off quite a number of DIv 1 schools. Stanford was simply not a good football team back then. Plus you know, fuck USC.

Right

App was coming off back-to-back FCS championships. (Note: I’m not excusing Michigan’s shitting of the bed here.) Stanford was dogshit at the time, coming into that game 1-3, while USC had won 35 straight at home and was #2 in the nation.

You should go back and read the game threads back then…it’s even more depressing. Some of them were only done b/c we knew that there were a few folks (1Tex) who were remote and wanted a better description than what GameCast was giving them. Of course, then 1Tex got himself a Slingbox and didn’t need any of us anymore.

Hell, I remember in one of them that there was a break in the comments b/c I called BFD on his cell.

The output is actually quite impressive. I wish I had known of this site back then, sitting in my apt following game center while being bored to tears by w/e shitty local game they were playing(quite often the raiders(barf)).
