Matt Schaub Named 2010 Pro Bowl MVP
After a 13 for 17 performance good for 189 yards and two touchdowns, Houston Texans' QB was named the MVP of the Pro Bowl. Not bad for his first trip. David Garrard and Vince Young were close, I'm sure.

Hey now, give Vince Young a little credit
It looked like he almost knew what plays he was calling as he called them.

It's funny...
How the VY nuthuggers are saying this was a meaningless game and bashing VY’s performance is just silly. But if the role’s had been reversed and Teh Schaub had stunk the place up and VY won MVP it would be “Vince is teh best EVAR!!! Texans shudda drafted him”
Douchebags…

Schaub
He looked great, tonight, He was the only QB on the AFC side that looked like a lagit Pro Bowler.
I don’t think you can read much into the mairo numbers for the night as the D lines where sometimes going and sometimes not, that made it hard for the Oline guys to know when to block hard and when to just kind of stand in the way.

Texan Stats aside from the MVP
Andre Johnson – 3 receptions for 71 yards and a TD
DeMeco Ryans – 3 tackles
Mario Williams – 1 tackle, 2 sacks, 1 pressure causing an INT, another 2 pressures
It goes without saying...
Matt Schaub is the 1st Houston Texan to win the Pro Bowl MVP.
3 franchises have yet to have a Pro Bowl MVP: Baltimore, Denver, and Carolina.
We’re not the last to do something!

Technically, no Titan has ever won the award…
Just saying.

Was happy. Texan players got a lot of playing time and looked really good.
I’m already excited about next year. Ready to see what new pieces to the puzzle we get during the off season.
Two things:
First, it still saddens me he’s not a franchise QB.
Secondly, I’m shocked VY didn’t get it….because HE just wins games, not Schaub.
A Texans fan. Really. No, I'm not kidding.

I think they can do it !
I knew I could count on Battle Red Blog to have meaningful comments about the Texans showing in the game. (I was very disappointed by channel 13’s coverage of the MVP event or anything else about the game)
If I remember it correctly, =D every time that Matt Schaub had possession of the ball, he turned it into a touchdown possession for the team. I was sort of stunned at how Vince Young seemed compared to Schaub. . . Schaub seemed very professional and just delivered every time he touched the ball. Vince seemed like he didn’t get enough reps in practice or something. (or Vince didn’t care as much or a combination of both)
For me, part of Vince Young’s strength is the chemistry he builds with his team. With Matt Schaub, he didn’t miss anything for not having played with the whole team for weeks on end. To me, this speaks more to how well polished Matt Schaub is as a professional player.
I’m very excited to see what we do this coming fall =D.
Thanks again to Battle Red Blog for making it interesting to read about the Houston Texans! I always enjoy reading to see what the REAL fans say about the game at Battle Red Blog. =)
Vince’s strength this year was being a great distraction for CJ for the most part. There have been times where he has flashed ability as a passer, but in reality he is best at playing a Vick like role where he augments his teams rushing game.

If only a pro team could successfully run a wishbone offense
He might actually be an average quarterback.

Wow...
ESPN stream across the bottom of the screen lists VY as (HOU)…I was watching and saw Schaub (HOU), VY (HOU), and then AJ (HOU), and did a double take. Really weird…

GUYS!
We all know DAMN well that VY “won” that game for us. He’s almost like the second coming of Patrick Willis, his influence is THAT great.
Damn, if only we had drafted him, he’d already been a HOF’er by now.

And we would have won at least 2 Superbowls by now.
Miss-placed Houstonian living and going to school in the wilderness of Wyoming. Fresno St. 28 - Wyoming 35 (2 OT)!!! Hands down best game I have ever been to.
Just 2?
We’d have won 5 Superbowls in his four seasons.

the best feeling besides Matt playing so awesome, was both VY and Romo throwing picks. :smug:

facts...
Schaub and AJ, aka the best reciever on planet Earth, showed the football world a preview of next years superbowl:)
Tonya Roma and VYgina showed that they can’t handle even a meaningless allstar scrub game, hell even Garrard threw a TD!
Mario and Demeco looked good as well. It’s probably a good thing that Brian Crushing didn’t play, I bet he would’ve hurt someone, I don’t think he could have went 3/4 speed.
GO TEXANS!!!!
Our time will come...
Yea
Cushing reminds me of Sean Taylor in that sense, i can’t see him intentionally not going all out. I think he only has one speed when playing the game, and that’s balls to the wall. I think Taylor actually injured someone in his probowl game didn’t he?
He decapitated the bills punter.

But I would have loved to see Cushing pile-drive Romo.

at jury duty...
Standing near VY fan. Pink blackberry clipped to the belt, unnatural orange colored weave, knockoff VY jersey. True. Story.
Yes...as a matter of fact, that IS a pic of Steve McNair & Sahel Kazemi parasailing. Suck it, Titans fans.

Even John McLaine is poking fun at Justice
He pointed out how bad VY played in his blog and I made a comment and he replied:
What, no description of Justice’s “Man Hug” with Vince at the Pro Bowl?

I enjoy the fact that the Cowgirl fans were all over this...
Oh Schaub sux under pressure, you blitz him he cant throw, Texans can’t beat any good teams… Mario and Schaub show up in meaningless games. I think the crack and coke is getting to them.
I'm in Boston on business for a few days and I have made sure to rub Schaub in the brady-loving faces of my clients.
