Impending free agent CB Dunta Robinson says he would like to remain with the Texans, even if he's franchise tagged again.

Robinson held out for all of '09 training camp because he was displeased with the tag. "I'd like to get a long-term deal, but I wouldn't be unhappy about it," he said. "You can't be mad when you make $9M." Robinson, 27, is coming off a strong year, so the Texans are unlikely to let him walk. Source: Houston Chronicle

Statistically speaking...

He had an okay year. Not strong, but okay. The penalties bring it down to bad. That said…this is old news. He’s been saying this since midseason….and I don’t think he’s leaving.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Robinson as our #2 corner, but he’s going to want more money than that’s worth which would make it hard for us to afford a true #1, which would force us to use him as a #1 again… I think alot of it depends on what the coaching staff thinks of him, but there’ll certainly be some teams offering him big time money this off-season, if it were me I definitely wouldn’t come close to matching those offers… We’ll see.
