Who will Kyle take with him?
It is a common thing for coaches who move to new teams and try to install the their system there to bring in players from their old team. Everyone always talks about the "Denver pipeline", and now there could be a pipeline heading out of Houston. So who will Kyle want to bring to Washington from the Texans?
Out of our free agents, I think Kevin Walter would be a prime candidate, assuming we don't resign him. The Redskins could use a possession receiver, and he'd be relatively cheap. However, where the Redskins really need a makeover is on the offensive line, where they are not at all built to run the zone scheme. This is where it could get interesting. Chester Pitts is a free agent, but who knows if he's going to we're going to resign him or if he will be able to play at all. So, the Redskins might trade for one of our o-linemen. But who? It's doubtful we would give up any of our starters, so they would likely have to get one of our backups. Like Kubiak, they might trade for our backup center so that they can have someone with experience in the scheme making the line calls. That would probably be Chris White and not Antoine Caldwell. They also might try to trade for a tackle like Rashad Butler, although it's hard to know how much Kyle thinks of him.
Anyone else that might be traded to Washington? I focused mainly on offense because that's where Kyle coached, but is there anyone on defense they might want?

Caldwell is going nowhere
and I find it hard to believe anyone would actually want to trade for any of our other interior lineman.
Rexy, DanO, anyone with the first name Chris or Kris, Dunta, and Kevin
I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?
id like to keep
Mr. Bentley…
Let him take All 3 Chris’s on Offense (Brown/White/Myers)

Kevin Walter is replaceable with JJ and Anderson. While I like the guy, I don’t think it will hurt us too bad to lose him.
Miss-placed Houstonian living and going to school in the wilderness of Wyoming. GO WYO!!! Beat Fresno in the New Mexico Bowl!!!
I agree with you
But he lumped Kevin Walter into a group with [Ch/K]ris Brown and Dunta. He doesn’t deserve to be anywhere near those names.
To be fair
Dunta and KW are both free agents. But other than that, they don’t have much in common.

maybe Rock Cartwright? it would save us a draft pick on a RB
I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but you appear to be unarmed.

I'm confused
They don’t need to compensate us for anything if they sign FAs. There aren’t many football trades in general aside from the draft, and it’s not like we have interior lineman depth to trade. Pitts’ injury is possibly a career ender, and he’ll never be the same (see also: Dunta).
A Texans fan. Really. No, I'm not kidding.

I've wondered this for a few days.
Until we know what is happening in Minnesota, do you think Washington might try and trade for Sage Rosenfels? He’d be able to step straight into Kyle’s offense.

Any time you can trade for a QB who can fly
you have to make that move.
I always assumed "You're The Reason God Made Oklahoma" would be some sort of country music diss track. Live and learn, I guess.

His Flying Skills Are Spectacular
But his landing skills are abysmal.

sounds like
They like Jason Campbell and think they can work with him. It could just be a repeat of the whole david carr thing.
I heard the opposite this weekend on one of the TV networks
sorry I can’t remember which one it was, but the report was basically that he is done in Washington. Shanahan will start fresh with either a vet FA or a draftee.
It took the Astros 44 years to get to the Series, the Oilers-Texans are due to get to the big dance...Go Texans!!!!!
