I'm not sure I can stand to watch Farve or the Farving Farves of Minnefarve

In an Econ game, what do you do when a player has a choice that doesn’t effect their payout, just that of the other players?
So player A can give player B the option between payouts of (9,3) vs (3,3) and (8,4) vs (3,3). Which is the equilibrium?
I think the rational move is for player A to take the 8 because player B wouldn’t rationally take less to give them 3, while the 9 isn’t guaranteed by player B’s self interest.

ok, it's a trust game.
Player A sets an X value between 0 and 12.
Player B chooses to trust player A, or not trust player A. Not trusting pays both players 3.
If trusted Player A chooses between both players getting a payout of 6 or they get 12-x, while player B gets X.
I’m unsure of whether player A is suppose to choose X=3 or X=4.
Any X of 6 or more can’t help them, so Player A won’t choose that. Now working backwards,
Player A will always take the 12-x because it always pays more than 6.
If X is 0, 1 or 2, Player B is better off not trusting to get a payout of 3. This gives Player A a payout of 3.
If X is 3, Player B will get the same payout either way. Player A gets either 9 or 3 depending on whether Player B trusts or not, a decision with no impact on himself.
If X is 4 Player B is better off trusting Player A. This gives Player A a payout of 8.
So does player A choose x=3 or x=4.

was this:
It was GREAT that the running game was so effective, but they seemed to take it too far. Mix in more play action, throw more. Keep em off balance. We started running so much that they were playing the run… That’s a pretty big deal vs the Colts. I really felt like we didn’t take advantage of what we had set up.
