Kris Brown Is Now A Member Of The San Diego Chargers
I'm actually pretty surprised it took him this long to find work. What's more, it could only be a one-week gig, if Nate Kaeding gets healthy.
Still...the nightmare of Kris Brown kicking a game-winning FG against your Houston Texans is back in play. The Chargers visit Reliant on November 7th.
UPDATE: Just saw that Barry got a FanShot up before I did. Check his out too, as it's complete with frustrated Kris Brown photo.

I can see it now...
Game on the line, Travis Johnson busts through an OG and center to force a bad throw, which Fred Bennett returns deep into opposing territory, then Kris Brown kicks a 45 yard game-winner.
(To seal a 3-13 season).
Do they have any of our other shitty players?
Maybe.
But I saw they were 2-4 and just sort of assumed he was still playing.
Bennett is not on the Roster

I Have No Idea How to Make a Title on that Fanshot
I saw it on twitter or what-have-you
I guess I should have figured out the title thing before trying to post – I thought we would all get a “kick” of it

I would like to retract a previous statement.
I previously posted the chargers would handle us. Well if K Brown is still kicking for them when they play us, then we will win.

Does anyone else have info on this?
Sorry, long day at work, and no time to go look it up myself, but this would be a huge difference maker in our next game. We wouldn’t have to watch Cushing/Pollard/Diles’ futile efforts to keep up with Clark.

MNF looking promising
No Clark or Collie, am I wrong for getting excited about this? So we can double Wayne all game and leave Garcon open cause Ewwwwww can catch better than him. And every one else blitz 5-head.

Thanks Tim!!
I’d have never noticed Kaeding was injured and would have been without K points in fantasy this week.
And congrats Kris Brown.
Zap him!
Somebody with a field pass cruise over and zap his helmet with a small Texans logo during pre-game. The law of physics will again collide with bad luck and we’ll have nothing to worry about.

They obviously did this
to get an inside look at our special teams playbook

...and
Rackers can tackle…..often…maybe too often?
They probably also want to know what clubs to hit while in town. Maybe they’ll go pile on at Papa’s like the Cowboys did, then jam the bill on a rookie who hates to carry pads.

Kinda off topic...
But does anyone else think Bernard Pollard might be due for a suspension considering the new tackling rules the league is enforcing? He lays down some vicious hits and the last thing we need is for our horrendous defense to lose another of its top players.
Have you ever had feelings for a nun?
I've never seen Pollard go helmet-to-helmet....
All his big hits, it’s always shoulder, always to the body…..wish he’d wrap up, but never seen him do the helmet stuff or anything dirty.
"Lord, beer me strength."
I agree
Pollard hits solid, but always clean. I just hope he stays healthy. I swear watching him hit looks like a combo of Ronnie Lott, Steve Atwater and John Lynch wrapped in one. Now even though he uses shoulder hits instead of helmet, it looks like they are going after all big hits with the new rules. “Pay me Rick’s” hit was with the shoulder to the target’s sternum.

Actually his hit looked like it was right between the collarbones

big hits?
I have a serious problem with fining / suspending for a legal hit.
The play where the Chiefs RB did not get wrapped up and ran for 20 yards demonstrates what would happen if defenses were scared to hit the RB too hard because they would get suspended. One Pollard hit and he’s down, you know, like a sniper. As long as its legal, that does not need to be deterred.

Disagree.
If players stop going for the big hit (see Dunta against Ted Ginn circa 2008, on the same play that Travis Johnson destroyed Trent Green’s consciousness), they’ll wrap up and take down the ball-carrier.
Honestly, we’d be a better team if Pollard wrapped up instead of trying to knock people down.
I am in disbelief
I wonder if the halfback pass is in their playbook…

Pollard, Smith and Ogunleye
were all just fined retroactively for the KC game for supposedly “illegal” hits.
I’m all for bringing down the injury list across the league and keeping people healthy for good careers, but the league is overshooting on this correction. We are going to see some HUGE scoring increases across all games if this keeps up.

Well he is getting off to a good start
