He's obviously going to SF
They’re a little thin at #1 Draft Pick QB rejects with only Alex Smith and David Carr on their roster. While I expect they’ll choose a QB with their first pick in next year’s draft, they could use some veteran #1 pick help on the roster.
Next Question.

You are such a good friend that if you and me were the last two people trapped on a sinking boat with only 1 life vest left, i would remember and pray for you every day.
Maybe this is Kubiak's legacy right here?
I mean, if he can turn Jamarcus Russel into a legit starting option, wouldn’t he be the best at grooming QB’s of all time?
I heard he groomed elway's
bush weekly…
I heard Brian Cushing like to do it with girls in a really uncomfortable place and i am not talking about the back seat of a Volkswagen

Hey, Kubiak was only Elway's Fluffer.

I'm okay with this
We didn’t sign him and he won’t be a starter. If he can help the team then great. If he can’t then great.
Now Frank Bush on the other hand…………..

I'm sure Russell is a better DC than Bush
Maybe that’s why we brought him in…
of course my 2 year old is a better DC than Bush so that’s not saying much
Maybe on gameday they'll put him behind the endzone
so he can hurl rocks for 70 yards at Peightaun. Not that he would actually hit him or anything.

Was there a hot dog eating contest?
Only reason I can think he’d be in Houston.
A Texans fan. Really. No, I'm not kidding.

Thinking ahead?
I doubt anyone expects Leinart to be here next year (he signed a one year contract, right?) so they might be looking for possible backups for next year. What better time than a bye week? If anything this tells me Kubs doesn’t trust Orvy at all.
Would you?

Well
I don’t know enough about JR if he was a victim of being a Raider, or he was just THAT bad. Probably a little bit of both. I think Leinart would be too expensive to keep around, Kubes might think he could teach JR how to actually hit the side of a barn and have him around for a few years for low cost.
I assume since he was a first overall pick that he was at some point a decent QB. But again, I don’t know much about him pre-Oakland.
Russell
was the beneficiary of an outstanding defense in college. That’s pretty much it. Oh, and Al Davis loves QBs with big arms.

WAit, there was NO mention of the Texans in that article
Was there? It just said he is trainin w John Lucas (wierd) in Houston.

John Lucas
He has done this with several athletes, in several sports. I respect John Lucas, even though he has some character issues. I don’t like Russell all that much but if Lucas can help him get his life turned around, more power to him.
I seriously doubt JaMarcus Russell every amounts to anything in the NFL.
