it was a game we should have won by 14 or so if not for some pretty bad turnovers. Others and considering jumping. I still feel good about 11 wins or so. Just gotta get to the playoffs then anything can happen.

Damn straight it was the right call
Instead of letting Jacksonville throw up the white flag, you force their hand. If they really wanted to play for OT, they would have just run the ball again, and if they had gotten the first down, Caldwell wouldn’t have called any more TOs (obviously).
Instead, they decided to do what Caldwell (and I) wanted them to do, which was throw the ball. They are terrible throwing the ball down the field, and it took a total defensive collapse to allow a 20 yard sideline route in that situation. You can fault Caldwell for that play if you want (more on Coyer/players), but you can’t say the timeout caused the shitty defensive play call.
Also, % of stopping that 3rd down >> % of a 59 yard FG.

Feeling pretty good about making the playoffs and having an off week. We don’t look like a great team by any means but there seems to be a lot of parity this year. Not a single team in either league appears to want to run away with it.

You always hear about how tough they are and all of that stuff. I don’t think they are tough. I think they are cheap and it was one of the cheapest games that I’ve ever seen out of some of those players. I thought the refs did a great job of keeping it under control, but when we’ve got Chris Kuper with his helmet off, getting punched and all of that stuff, it’s ridiculous. If that is the type of player that Cortland Finnegan wants to be, well then he is a cheap player—he is not a good player.
