I just recently discovered that NFL.com
uploads the play-by-play calls for all major plays every week. Simms’ call is very anticlimactic. I don’t think it really does the play justice.

I've used some radio calls and some TV
I have used NFL.com before to get them too. A lot of times the radio call is better just because of the excitement like the Favre one I did or the Lamey call of the IND/NE from last year.

Yeah, I saw that too.
And even posted some attempt at perspective there. I mean… I have to believe they’re being hyperbolic because people cannot actually believe stuff like that for real. If they do, then you fear for their ability to have interpersonal interactions with people at work, and personal relationships outside of it given how willing they are to so blatantly, severely overreact.
Meh… I hate trying to be reasonable sometimes. After dumb losses, all I want to do is rant and rave, but my capacity to be irrational – as highly developed as it is – simply cannot match too many other people’s. It’s depressing. I’m so glad I’m not, for example, working with people like that, or heaven forbid serving in war with them. It’s aggravating enough to see them online, in situations where you know nothing’s important.

Considering the line is something that is an every down statistic, I'd think a 20% sway would be a significant one.
For other positions (say WR, it’s obviously less).

I could be swayed one way or another about whether the statistical amount benefits or lessens by sample size.

In terms of sample size I currently have over 200 data points for each position, with each game having ~60 data points.
Currently I’m on snap 20 of the game for the offense.

LT – 31.1%….56.9%…66.2% (66.2% was Linkenbach’s, but CJ is at 73.7% now)
LG – 58.1%…86.8%…81.4% (DeVan now at 89.5%)
C – 68.9%…91.2%….86.2% (Saturday now at 73.7%)
RG – 66.2%….75.0%….66.2% (Pollak now at 63.2%)
RT – 39.2%….66.2%….47.7% (Diem now at 36.8%)

10% might be significant here, meaning 5 plays this game going in a better or worse direction. If you look at it seasonally, though, I think 20% difference or higher is necessary, other wise they are fairly consistent.

Taylor Mays seems to have taken his job. Mays was picked 2 spots before the Texans original 2nd round slot. I wonder if instead of trading down, we’d traded up and taken him if that might have been a good idea. Nothing against Tate. Oh, what am I saying, just silliness.
I wonder if Lewis could be helpful. I don’t know all that much about him, if he’s able to cover or if he’s a SS in the Pollard mold.
