BRB In Washington Post: On The Colts' Alleged Decline
Even with an 0-2 record in the division, I'm not buying it.

Yep
I’ll count out the Colts the day Peightun retires. Until then, no freaking way.
A Texans fan. Really. No, I'm not kidding.

OMG some douchenozzle in DC is posting about the AFC South. WTF? Lamer......
In other news, I have to agree. Peyton by himself would probably finish 4-12.

I'll never feel comfortable about the division...
until Peyton retires.
Anyone who thinks the Colts are done…with 18 under center…doesn’t know a thing about football.
"Lord, beer me strength."
They aren't done
but you have to wonder about their defense. They lost Bullit for the season, which hurts, and their line is crap. With Manning they’ll still put up points, but they look beatable for once.

I agree
But “beatable” is a long way from “done”.

On the decline is being a little ridiculous.
That being said, this is the first time that I can recall since Forehead became QB that the Colts have looked at least mortal.
Houston Texans...forcing me to question my sanity and endangering my marriage since 2002.
I don't think its ridiculous
Other then more WRs and RBs what talent have they added to their roster over the last two years? Their line is getting worse. They aren’t falling off a cliff, but they need to restock in some places.

I will state the further
we get into the season, I might be able to say that the Texans have a better chance at sweeping the colts. I wont say they will because i mean p8un and the ponies are still formidable.
I am tattooing a picture of Jacobi Jones to my Mannschaft, Because it loves to go deep and always does a dance in the end...zone!
Go Texans!
Their D looks pretty weak right now
can’t stop the run and lost both Bullit and Glass Cannon for most of the season. With their shittastic line its going to be tough for them.

I think it is signaling a change
We all new to beat the colts, you need to run the ball to keep 18 off the field and then try to hold them to FGs when they are in the redzone.
But now teams are actually able to do this to some extent.
So I think this is bad news for the colts, and unless they put up 38 a game, they won’t win the division.
All I know is I wouldn’t want to be the team to face them in the playoffs, whether it’s home or on the road. No thanks. Give me the chargers or ravens or jets before the colts. I’d rather face a great D than Peyton, when it’s win or go home

Well
Sanders could come back in time for the playoffs, and we have seen the kind of impact he can have on that run d.

They're not in decline, they're not in decline, they're not in decline
Now click your ruby red slippers three times.
Oh man! They’re still 2 and 2! I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore…
Okay, Tim, what will it take to convince you. Retirement? That is blind ignorance and a complete sellout as a Texans fan, which I feel is
obviously misplaced in an attempt to placate the Squatters that are living in our basement wandering the halls and raiding our refrigerator and kitchen cabinets. You can be bought is what this says to me.
This is not the Colts of old. You provide no fact, data or stat to support your opinion. You took the shortest of shortcuts to your shameless attmpt to gain the acceptance of your Squatter brethren, “Hey, Squatters! Are you comfy? Can I, ahem, fluff you, err, your pillow for you a little more?”…is what I am reading in that marshmallowy op-ed piece.
Someone had to say it… Let me know when you think you want to be a Texans fan again. This reminds me of a few choice words once spoken by Bernard Pollard on the field of play that you seem to have forgotten, that he coincidentally directed towards one of the Colts players who as you say is not on decline.

I think it's fair to say they're on the decline
I think some of the sky is falling rhetoric is beyond ridiculous, but it’s pretty obvious, at least from what we’ve seen of the Colts so far, that they aren’t as good as they’ve been in the past. One, two, three seasons ago, they were an elite squad. Now they’re just a pretty good team with Peyton Manning making them better. That looks like a decline to me. That said, they’re still dangerous and it would be a huge mistake to get overconfident about playing them. Sure, they lost to the Jags. So did we last year – twice.
this season to point is looking a lot like 2 years ago when we lost the division
some mental and schematic issues need to get figured out. The physical tools are there the execution is non-existent (on defense of course). The offense is still as potent as ever even with the injuries.

Was your line this bad then?
I honestly don’t know. I mean its similiar in how you might get Sanders back for the playoffs too.

yeah
it was very similar but after a few games it got its butt in gear and became effective. Our line has started out this way multiple times over the last decade. They always right the ship somewhat by the bye week.
If its the same way in 3 weeks then I think we’ll hit the panic button, until then it just seems to be business as usual.

The 0-2 divisional record is all on the road.
If the Texans beat them in their house in a few weeks, I’ll start believing. But until then, my guess is that they still go 3-3 at worst in the division, and force anybody else who wants the title to win 12 games.
But nobody is taking the division from them by default. It’s gonna take the Texans or Titans stepping up and catching some breaks, paired with Manning not playing near perfect football all season long.
It might be as simple as health for the texans
If we are that lucky

will not lead a team to a division title.

I've taken a new approach to that, this year.
All I’ve done since he got into the league is rail on him for being terrible, and all he has done during that span is crush my hopes and dreams.
So now I’m going to give him the benefit of doubt, and hope that right when I start to almost believe he’s a competent NFL QB, he starts blowing games left and right.
Wtf
Vikings are about to acquire Randy moss?
No bullshit!!!!

They can have Jacoby for a fourth.
Our treat.
Oh, damn.
How ‘bout that? Guess we’ll get to see him in action on Sunday then when Cushing rips off Eli Manning’s head.
Damn really?!?!

Just not during the season typically.
