Wherein I'm Called A Traitor
Betting site Covers.com asked a BRBer to answer some questions about tonight's game, and I volunteered. You may not like what you see.

And you can all taunt me if I'm wrong.
A Texans fan. Really. No, I'm not kidding.

You’re saying the Texans can’t even cover?
In the words of the wise Jason Mewes: “fuck you, fatty!”

Like I even looked at the line
I don’t even know where to quickly FIND lines.
So, yeah, you can go with Tim, who covers.
A Texans fan. Really. No, I'm not kidding.

oh wait
Or were you talking about the lines I’ll be doing off a stripper’s ass tonight if your prediction somehow turns out to be true?
It's always coke and hookers for you, eh?

It's part of his therapy.
I’m about to call and see if they accept my insurance…
If the Treasury Secretary doesn't have to pay taxes, then why do I?
If any of those statements were surprising
Then you haven’t been paying attention to the Texans.
Ave Imperator, morituri te salutant!
The only surprising thing
was the Colts blogger unshakable optimism. Yeah, we miss some hugely important players but we are still going to pwnzor the Texans.
Eugene Wilson = range of a fire hydrant. Classic.
"They must have been watching "Walker, the Texas Ranger" in the bullpen" - fan reaction to the Texas Rangers relievers allowing four consecutive walks in a WS game vs the Giants.
I dunno
I know we have no real defense to speak of, but I have to think that our young secondary will play better against the rookies that the colts are going to have to play this week. Manning can’t catch the ball for them, and they shouldn’t have any run game at all really, so i think they may be in trouble. I think if we score 30 this game is over.
I hadn't kept up with the news after the game
But it sounds like a well-earned waive.

Was just about to post this
Vikings fans are calling for Brad Childress’s head.
Split Seahawks/Texans fan. Don't like it? Don't care.
big news, yes
But there has to be some news out soon about Brett Favre. There’s no way he’ll let a day go by where he’s not the lead on SportsCenter.
"I'm trying to get a feel for Booty" - GK
Waste of a 3rd pick. Sure we would call for kubs head as well

How much control does Childress have over personell in Minn?
What a waste of a valuable draft pick. The Vikings should have known better though.

I think the Texans
still win this game. Even though im a fan, I really think the Texans are the better football team right now and they’ll come together in a hostile environment and find a way to win the game.
So what if the Colts are “keying” on Foster this time around. That doesn’t mean they’ll be able to stop the running game; And I hope our coaching staff doesn’t outsmart themselves and come out throwing.
Manning is missing too many weapons tonight (Addai, Clark, Collie), and I surely hope we wont let some scrubs come in as “replacements” and go off on us. Manning can’t do it all. Our D will show up.
The Houston Texans
this season LIVE to beat the Indianapolis Colts. They had the week 1 game circled on the schedule AND the week 8 game at Indy. Does anyone remember when we were owning them at home 27-10 in week 1? Same secondary, remember?
Im telling you, this season, we’re built to beat the Colts and we’re gonna win this one tonight too.
Bank on it
A lot of intelligent people are making this very argument.
A Texans fan. Really. No, I'm not kidding.

Remember that the same secondary gave up 400 yards in that game though
We we’re able to get off the field on third downs and got some lucky breaks, but it’s not like we dominated on defense.
"Well, at least our players kept their helmets on, so that showed some intelligence"-Bob McNair
How many
of those yards were from Austin Collie and Dallas Clark? Because they aren’t playing tonight lol
Like I said, I surely hope our D wont let some scrubs off the bench come in and match that performance from week 1
I'm not sure...but they all came from P8ton
I’m actually fairly optimistic about our chances, but realize that beating the Indianapolis Peightons on Monday night in their house is a tall order. I’m not sure the stars will ever line up again quite this well in our favor as far as catching the Colts at that right time (other than Manning actually missing a game), so I hope we can take advantage of it.

Peyton can't run their routes correctly and catch the ball for them
So having nothing but newbies in the game will hurt him no matter how good a QB he is.

They probably have good depth in TE 2-4
Oh wait, are we the only team that drafts that many TE’s?
by BrownCrayon on Nov 1, 2010 6:26 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions
I understand your arguments
But to the matter of the score i hope your dead wrong and Houston wins and wins big against indy.
Also, for fnatasy, I need Neil Rackers to kick....sec......carry the one......ok......22 field goals. Odds?

Lol, yeah
Im trailing my opponent by 9 pts with only Cush and Rackers left to play. I think I should be alright lol
I know I'm missing out on something good...
Barracuda prevents my from viewing that. I will just have to be patient and read it later….
I am disgruntled at the moment because, truly, I can’t watch the game tonight…it’s my bowling night. Yes, that’s the truth. And, it’s position night, so the team is counting on me. Texans, you’ll have to handle the Colts without me, and from the sounds of it….bfd, too.
What do we do with traitors around here? Need to think on that….
I dub the Colts..... second best!
They won't have the game on in the bowling alley?

Speaking for myself...
I would not want to watch a Texans game armed with a bowling bowl. That’s just asking for trouble.
"Lord, beer me strength."
The game was on and I was glancing at it
My game suffered. My bowling game could be compared to how the Texans fared.
I dub the Colts..... second best!
Ball rolls forward, pins fall down
Just like opponents versus the Texans defense. You won’t notice much of a difference, I’m sure.

Not enough pins fell down
After that, I’m not sure what would be worse….
I dub the Colts..... second best!
Have you moved from bumpers yet?

BTW
At bowling? I would kick your ass.

ooh tough call
to quote Al Bundy:
“I love beer, I love bowling… let’s not cheapen the meaning of the word.”
Would adding “the Texans” to that list cheapen the word? Tough to say.
what a difference a winning culture creates
Not that you don’t make valid points, but its a striking contrast to read the Colts blogger talk about how the Colts will overcome some key injuries and correct all their mistakes from the past to win, while our guy uses the whole interview trashing his team lol. Put down the razor its going to be ok.
