If the Treasury Secretary doesn't have to pay taxes, then why do I?
all by myself at home
I know it’s mostly irrational but a large part of me has totally quit on this season, in so far as I expect the Texans to win or even perform well. Completely stupid, but there it is. As a result, I am hiding all that football-related sadness from everyone lest it infect them. Maybe if the Texans win I’ll venture back into social football watching, but right now I wouldn’t want to inflict the rage and gloom on anyone.
The usual...but different.
After performing my weekly ritual to Jobu/Durga, I will add a new wrinkle to my ritual. The night before the game, I will sit naked on the roof of my apartment wearing strategically placed leaves and mud from the ground, howling at the moon just as it is rising. Because Jobu and Durga aren’t cutting it, I’m adding a new idol to my collection, Odin. Then, after cleaning up, I’ll be at the Spot in Seattle again.

I am going to take cyanide before the game
I just can’t bear to deal with this horrible, horrible, 4-4 team!
…so I’m guessing probably at home.

;)
so i thought this would make a good handle. of course, i should of left the ‘e’ off at the end to make it look more like #7’s last name.
as a long time houston football fan, it’s great to see a place where we can share our thoughts, or more like it, discomforts with one another!

He was kind of the Rex Grossman of his era, wasn't he?
The man had no touch on the ball, but he could chunk it.

hahaha...
yeah, maybe. i’m ashamed to say i don’t know enough about grossman. it definitely wasn’t a given that he’d throw a completion. he was hot and cold if i remember.
i remember the huge chunks to kenny bourough. it’s a good thing they got earl campbell later on. of course not for earl today. and lets not forget his gift to the nfl quarterback, the flat jacket!
