Who To Root For - Week 10
There has been a lot of doom and gloom the last week or so and the wagon is definitely thinning out. The defense will most likely continue to be teh suck, but there is some room for optimism. The remaining 8 games have several teams with less than stellar passing attacks and the Texans have a trend of having a strong second half of the season. This time last year the Texans were 5-3, yet 3 games out of the division lead. This year, even at 4-4, they are only a game out of the division lead and the best teams in the conference have 2 and 3 losses. Your Texans come in this week 10th in the AFC with a big divisional game against the Jags. There are 6 other games on the schedule with an impact on the Texans playoff hopes:
Ravens@Falcons - This was the first Thursday night game, and for anyone who stayed up, you saw the game end in a favorable Ravens loss. The Ravens offense struggled to get going until late in the game, and the normally stingy defense saw itself get lit up by the Falcon passing attack and a muddled huddle strategy.
Titans@Dolphins - This might end up being the battle of the backup QBs down in Miami. Chad Pennington has been named the starter, and Vince Young hasn't been practicing, making a start by Kerry Collins likely. The Dolphins are a physical team and therefore a good match for the dirty tits, but the Fins haven't won a game yet at home and the tits are coming off a bye. Although either losing is helpful, we need the 4-4 Dolphins to beat the Titans for us to try and pull even in the division. Root For: Fins
Bengals@Colts - The Bengals have really become a train wreck of a team this year. Loads of talented players, but ones who just aren't meshing well together. The Colts are really banged up and 5head has a depleted arsenal of weapons. But they are playing at home where they are very difficult to beat. We could really use the TOcho gang to get their shit together and pull the upset. Root For: Bengals
Jets@Browns - Normally you would think this is a no-brainer, but the unlikely Browns have walked into both New Orleans and New England and came back with the shocking win. Can they do it a third time? While it seems unlikely, they are riding high on a great running game and tough defense, and the Jets have struggled on offense. Root For: Browns
Chiefs@Broncos - The AFC West is getting rather messy and seems unlikely to support a wild card team, much like our division. The Broncos seem to be in disarray this year, but they always seem to play better at Mile High. Let's see if they can pull a divisional win out and make the AFC West even more messy. Root For: Broncos
Patriots@Steelers - This is the best game of the week. Both teams are 6-2 and share the best record in the conference. Either losing is a good thing for the Texans. The Patriots offense is struggling to find its identity in the post Moss era, and the Steel Curtain defense is a good as ever. But when is the last time you remember the Pats losing two in a row? Root For: Sinkhole

RE: Bronco's @ Home
They were at home when they played Oakland. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen. Anyway, last post for awhile. Leaving Monday for the Army.
