Keep your heads up!
Hey, it's Gang Green Nation. That was a great game on Sunday, and even as a Jets fan, I want to say that the better team lost this week and last week. Sure, on Sunday I was sitting on my couch screaming as my El Paso relatives glared at me, but the Jets got lucky. Mark Sanchez doesn't usually go all "Joe Montana" like that. And just forget about the Jacksonville game. That was the greatest WTF moment in the history of the rivalry.
Although this won't sweeten the sting at all, I just wanted to say that you guys need to keep your chins up. Sure, 4-6 might not feel too great right now, but I know exactly how disappointing it feels (lifelong Jets fan here, remember? The Jets have been shooting themselves in the foot longer than the Texans have even been around).
Just remember, you have a great team. I think the Schaub/Johnson combo is one of the most dynamic and prolific QB/receiver tandems since Manning and Harrison, or Montana and Rice. Your defense has one of the most talented pass rushers in Brian Cushing, and a young secondary is like cheese: it will get better with age.
I'm telling you right now, keep your heads up because that Lombardi trophy will look pretty amazing against those red, white, and blue uniforms. I look forward to seeing the Texans do great things in the very near future. Good luck with the rest of your season.

Thanks, Maya
But you feel far better than most of us do about the Texans these days.
Do you live in El Paso?
A Texans fan. Really. No, I'm not kidding.

Nope!
I actually live in California, but my brother lives in El Paso with his family—they came out west for Thanksgiving.
Cool
Steve Kaplowitz of KROD in El Paso, and one of my BFFs, is a huge Jets fan, which is why I asked. If you did live in El Paso, I’m sure he’d appreciate the company of another Jets fan.

Haha I would too
We are far and between outside the Hudson Rive Valley. You don’t how much crap I still get because the Jets beat the Chargers last year in the playoffs.
I've kept my head up
I know this team is good just a little unlucky
and the clouds opened up and God said "I Hate you Texans Fans."
I try to keep my head up
but the problems is i’m 5’6 in a 7 ft hole filled with shit, piled on by the texans coaching staff.
Though i must thank you for your kind words, and wish your team luck in the future.
Awesome kind words, class act and rec'd
Thanks for the great post and good luck on your season as well. The Jets look great this year!
I do feel better actually now after having a couple of days to let the emotion fade. I ran some math, looked at the rest of the AFC team’s schedules and aside from the raping we’ll face in Philly, there’s a crazy chance we could still win the division.
How many times can the dealer pull out a blackjack, right? Well on that note, I did witness first hand in Vegas once that a dealer popped FOUR consecutive blackjacks from a six deck shoe and devastate the table where many players were dropping down big coin betting the pain was over. Seeing as how we have now been hammered four times in a row, it’s ALL IN this week to turn the season around.
Makers Mark and Bleach in hand, “let it ride!”
a 4 week stretch like this challenges everyone's faith, Big Thx for the gracious words Maya
The Jets are presently in a far better place than are the Texans, but a quick check of the standings show that the AFC South is still up for grabs. These last 6 games are a real test for the entire Texans’ organization. Well run teams continue to put forth good effort in trying times like these. Kubiak NEEDS to continue to get the players to bring it like they did last Sunday. He also needs to stop making dumb mistakes like not using the 3rd timeout at the end of the 1st half. A FG there could have made a huge difference.
It took the Astros 44 years to get to the Series, the Oilers-Texans are due to get to the big dance...Go Texans!!!!!

preciate the class
The Jets are the measuring stick in the AFC right now, and it was pretty encouraging to see us go toe to toe. Last season you guys knocked us out in the first round, and this time we were able to get off the ropes. It’s just too bad that every time we get up about stuff like that, the impossible becomes possible for everyone else but us.
Not whining, just saying it how it is. The Jets have had a lot longer to get used to the roller coaster ride, so the motion sickness isn’t a problem.
FWIW…..I hope you didn’t take offense to my comment in my fan post. That was in no way meant to be a slam on the Jets…..anything but. Just an immature way of dealing with the frustration of another incredible let down, in a dirty humor kinda way.
I'm a man!! I'm forty!!
Thanks for the post
Most of us here are more frustrated and angry, only because we know what should be right now.
The Cheese you speak of must be swiss – with all of those holes :)
Hoping weird stuff really does only come in 3's
=) thanks for the encouragement, Maya
I have actually found myself hugely depressed after the Jacksonville game and after the Jets game (as in zero energy).
But I’m glad that I’m not the only one who thought she saw improvement in the Texans. I still love my team but =P they’ve turned me into a football addict =P (not my fault ;-) ). I consider anyone who gets depressed after their favorite football team loses — that’s an addict.
It’s really awesome to hear a Jets fan appreciates watching Matt Schaub throw to Andre Johnson just like we do =). Watching our human coke machine (Vonta Leach #44) and Arian Foster is pretty amazing too =).
So =) thank you so much for being so kind. I definitely appreciate it.
