Fire Kubiak
Fire Bush
Fire Schaub
Fire Duane Brown
Fire EWWWWWW
Cut 8 or 9 Tight Ends
Get a gravitationally enhanced nose tackle
Do whatever is necessary to get:
Jon Gruden
Bill Cowher
Bill Parcells
Rex Ryan
….
Ship the Texans off to Lost Angeles
Tear down Reliant Stadium
Plow up the ground and mix salt into the soil so that nothing will grow there
Move on with our lives
"Two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts do..."
At this point, anybody but Kubiak and all in his "tree"...
I’m sick of this shit… I make no pretense of having deep football insight, but I do understand dealing with under-performing employees and this nonsense is just over the top bad.
I love having an exciting potent offense, but when the defense is hide-your-eyes-bad, and when EVEN I could manage a game clock better than a guy that has been in the league for decades and a head coach for multiple years, it’s time to burn this teepee down and start over.
This doesn’t come easy to me because I still like Kubiak and really want him to succeed here, but sadly I just think he’s “peaked” based on the STUPID, STUPID, STUPID game management snafus he has continued to pull this year.
Please excuse the spewing and resume your normally happy lives… I’ll be fine over here in the corner rocking back and forth humming.

I think you mean

Millen is a freakin' meathead.
And not once did they call Foster, Arian. Although they managed to use every other name in the book (i.e. Marion, Adrian, etc.). Begs the question if he was calling the right names on draft day with the Lions.
Blind fandom is all I got left.
agreed
they were missing or mispronouncing names all night long…it was sad. The sideline candy, chick, reporter mispronounced Joel Dreessen’s name too. Of course I probably just misspelled it, but at least I’m not on anybody’s payroll.
laughing... thanks for that
…not much funny to me this morning.

All I would want is a
PROVEN DC.
Another GM.
Some more veteran players.
It’s a crapshoot thrusting a rookie into a starting role and hoping he succeeds.
Everybody last night said they want Jonathan Joseph but don’t you think the bengals would like to keep their top CB? Even if he is unrestricted, I’d franchise his ass without hesitation. I want to trade up in the draft to get a badass player, preferebly a top CB, buy still bring in veteran CB’s so we don’t have to rely on rookies and youngins.

It's a bigger crapshoot
to thrust a rookie into a starting role when there is not a good veteran presence to show him how it’s done. Personnel mix fail.

You have to understand...
The Bengals have a lot of players with contracts running up, they’ll have a new head coach, and may hit the reset button.
"Lord, beer me strength."
Didn't see this addressed in the 2nd quarter thread...
And since the PGT is already an abomination, I’ll bring it up here.
Why, with 1:00 on the clock and the Iggles with 3rd & 3 on our 11 yard line, after Vick got banged up by Okoye’s head, did we take a time out? We gave them time to rest, think, and take another shot at us with the clock stopped.
The announcers were obviously too busy checking up on Vick to notice anything else happening, so they didn’t even address it- but WTF was Kubes doing?

Spoiler alert-
They converted the 3rd and 3.

I am still painfully reviewing the recorded film
But a few things jump right out that should be enough to seal the fate of this coaching staff (side note: I like Kubiak and would love to have him as my neighbor any day):
They didn’t give Brown any support. So much for the empire of tight ends! No wonder that guy was jumping out of his skin early all night and getting dominated on most plays, and Schaub was victimized as a result.
The cover 2 zone would normally be the right coverage against a running QB threat like Vick so the secondary can react earlier iff he breaks loose, but our secondary is abysmal at zone transition. When they were in cover 2 they gave up HUGE plays. The few times Bush put them in “man” and pressed at the line, they covered better AND got pressure on Vick AND stopped them (limited to FG’s and a punt). Bush is an idiot for going back to zone with this crew.
The no-calls by the refs were beyond criminal in this game. I don’t know what the process is to file for reviews and disciplinary action for officiating crews, but McNair and Kubiak should be raping the ears of the NFL front office today. I’m not going to say it cost them the game, because the Texans had enough self inflicted damage, but the outcome was definitely impacted due to a TON of holds, several hits to the head on Schaub, pass interference and some blatant blocks in the back. Normally I’d say who cares sine both teams can get away equally, but the Texans actually play pretty clean ball. The Eagles, like a lot of NFL teams, push the limits until flagged. When not flagged, they gain the benefit.
I’ll keep looking through the plays. So far, just like full speed live footage indicated, the defense is the bane of our loss pain.
Someday houston will have a football team that will play at an NFL level, on both sides of the ball, for 60 minutes, for every scheduled game. Until then we suffer and try to support a team called the Texans.
I could point to one individual play to make an inane point
But there were so many. The bottom line is this: 1 and 5 in the last 6 games. If I am Bob McNair, the football team owner hat is going on and when the time is right…. probably after the season; I am firing this coaching staff and hiring a new one. But, I would be thinking and acting on it right now. Does that mean an interim head coach to finish the season? Maybe. Just maybe. This is an idea I might go forward with if I were McNair.
1 – Hire a consultant
2 – Work with the consultant to plan out how to interview a new GM and HC
3 – Go ahead and fire the current HC and insert an interim HC to finish the season
4 – When the season is over; evaluate, interview, and hire a new GM and HC
5 – Assemble your new team of assistant coaches
6 – Plan the draft
7 – Make the playoffs in 2011-12
Why? Because it ain’t happening with the current FO and Coaches.
I dub the Iggles..... soft, like Philly cream cheese!
Dear Kubiak:
While watching the game last night i noticed two things:
1) we were blitzing really well, and it was throwing Vick off of his game
2) when we got the lead… we just stopped blitzing…
Can I ask you why you did that? (do you have some sort of mental retardation?)
Did Chris Brown give Frank those nudes of your wife? (and is that why you won’t fire him?)
Can i be the DC for the rest of the season? (4 days of tackle drills, and then a day of gameplan, cause lets face it… our defense isnt used to any days of gameplan)
and last but not least…. Why the hell do you like to play not to lose?(you have to play to win! is winning just something you like waving at as it passes you by?)
Some people say "If you can't beat them, join them". I say "If you can't beat them, beat them", because they will be expecting you to join them, so you will have the element of surprise.

How bad is it that going into week 14, the Texans are looking for their 6th win?
/wrists
Best marketing in the world had pre-season pumpers convincing this fan base to start reserving curb space downtown for the Superbowl parade, and now we just want to finish at least the same as last year?!! We’d be damn lucky to do that at this point, and 5-11 is a distinct possibility.
