Sound Off: What Do You Want To See On BRB This Offseason?
As we're now officially in the morass that is the NFL offseason, it's a good time to check in to see what you would like to see here on BRB over the next few months. We will, of course, devote countless words to baseless conjecture analysis about potential free agent and draft acquisitions, but what else do you want to see here on BRB? This little piece of cyberspace wouldn't exist without the contributions of everyone who reads and comments, so don't hesitate to share your thoughts on what you'd like to see.

Maybe some

That would be awesome, thanks.

Are you sure that one is not supposed to be yours?
Unfortunately...
Your comment is premised on the idea that MDC actually posts.

Me too, lately
Which sucks.
What also sucks is MDC loves his job and actually hates snow days. How many things are wrong with that?

An article proving that
Reading from the bottom up helps you get the information that you want/need faster.
- Review of players most over and under paid on the team, guys either not earning their pay or grossly giving more to the team than they’re being compensated for.
- Continuous news/updates on free agents to be
- The absence of all court case reviews
- In depth analysis on the actual schemes used by the Texans detailing the “type” of players who fit those schemes at key positions.
- Boatloads of draft projections, for all teams not just the Texans… It’s easier to discuss who the Texans should be picked when you can agree on who they have to pick from.
- No more reviews of court cases

Then and now
Scour the archives and see where we were right and where we were wrong. Like what do we think of Brian Cushing now, compared to draft day? Is Matt Schaub worth the draft picks we gave up? What did people think at the time?
I think that would be one of the most helpful things in evaluating the job Smithiak has done and what still needs to be done.
Especially with all the Armchair GM’s that will be out on draft day…

but for real… I would like to see some vacation news… I will start with a play by play from my trip to laughlin this weekend on my fan post!!!
Follow the Chronicle's lead
I think what we really need is more Cowboys coverage. And a weekly piece fluffing Vince Young.
LDJA12
doesn’t have enough credentials to write for BRB so I don’t think we’ll be getting a weekly piece fluffing VYgina.
I like the idea
of the draft analysis.
That is relevant.
If we didn’t do it in years past, we should have a poll on the approval/disapproval of each pick this year, so we can see if Smithiak is better at evaluating talent than BRB.

Canada in a nutshell
It’s not as cold up here as you might think. Take a look at the Winter Olympics in Vanoucver…we can’t keep snow on the mountains. NHL hockey is the main sport up here. No one gives a damn about our college football circuit.
One thing that keeps getting bumped around is free health care, and it’s true it’s quite nice to know if you break your leg or anything like that you don’t have to worry about whether your insurance covers it. I know it might seem socialist or uber left wing but it’s nice to know it’s there if you need it.
The fact we only have 33 million people means that the CFL can only support 8 teams at the moment. The larger field, ball and fact it’s done on 3 downs are some appealing aspects of the game, but again the CFL comes second to the NHL in popularity.
We have really nice summers….yes we get summers up here. I live in Winnipeg which is pretty much straight north from Houston. 4 months of winter is matched by 4 months where you get sweltering heat and hordes of mosquitoes, but generally very nice.
Yeah….any other q’s?

Question For You
Would you be interested in doing a guest post listing all the differences between NFL games and CFL games this offseason? I think I know several of ‘em, but I’m sure there are differences that I’m not aware of.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...
Yea I'd be down
So you want a complete breakdown? Rules, scoring, “the ratio”, the draft….all that?

Someone could try to secure some interviews with players on the team? Or players formerly on the team? Maybe the water boy? The guy who paints the end zones?

CHALLENGE to BRB: Interviews
I would like to see BRB get some exclusive Q&A Interviews with some of the Texans players and coaches……and, later this year, with the new rookies!!!
Can you make it happen?
You asked……
I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?
Some "on-the-scene" reports
Get some dang press credentials and go to things that are Texans.
Don’t they have meet the coaches luncheons, team press conferences, post-game coaches conferences, and so on and so on…
How about all these other things going on like the NFL Scouting Combine. How about the Pro Day at UT….doesn’t bfd live near there? Can we get him to take a day off from his real job and go to UT’s Pro Day?
What did I forget?
I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?
I know some other SBN sites have done this...
However, the big thing would be if the Texans gave credentials to blogs and whatnot. Some teams do and some don’t.
It would be something to look into…especially if one of our guys could get credentials here and there. Who knows? I mean the Comicle gets credentials…so we should, right?
BRB should get two to their one....
I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?
