Goodell is thinking of banning 3 point stance
Goodell is considering banning one of the quintessential things about American football. His reasoning is that it will make line collisions less brutal, and cut down on concussions. Banning the 3-point stance would just seem, well off. Yes some players do not allways go into it. But to outright ban it would loose something to the sport. I do not want to know how much they will change the sport over the next few years.

If that's done
It’ll be more to further hamper defense for the sake of TV ratings. For some reason I can’t really explain, most people seem to rather watch an offensive shoot out than a defensive shutout.
If players can’t use a 3 point stance, speed rushing ends will for the most part be done for. 4 point stance is better for straight ahead bull rushers than rushers that need to rely more on speed and agility to rush the passer. Less pressure equals easier passing equals more money for the NFL.
They might try to sell it as a “safety” issue, but don’t kid yourself. The NFL worries about Money first, Image second, Money third, then maybe player health and safety.
Actually, you’re right about the NFL caring about money first … this article will shine some light on banning the 3 point stance from a concussion standpoint.
