KW and TJ News

Thomas Jones - RB Mar. 1 - 6:41 pm et
ESPN's Adam Schefter calls the four most likely destinations for free agent Thomas Jones Houston, San Diego, Cleveland, and Seattle.
Seattle was rumored to have interest in Jones last summer. The Browns would make sense for Jones as a committee partner with Jerome Harrison, about whom GM Tom Heckert has concerns as a "carry-the-load" back. The Chargers are another good fit, with a power scheme and an early-round rookie possibly being eased in. The Texans don't want a veteran in decline.  Kevin Walter - WR Mar. 1 - 9:20 am et
Beat writer John McClain says the Texans want free agent Kevin Walter back.
They may want Walter back, but at what price? Coach Gary Kubiak has already been raving about Jacoby Jones and Andre' Davis is capable of a bigger role as well. Despite a disappointing 2009 campaign, Walter will get a nice payday as one of the top free agent wideouts available. Source: John McClain on Twitter
Kevin Walter - WR Feb. 26 - 9:14 pm et
The Florida Times Union suggests Jacksonville as a possible landing spot for free agent Kevin Walter.
Walter would give the Jags a sure-handed possession receiver to book end play-making split end Mike Sims-Walker, keeping Mike Thomas in the slot. Walter, though, is going to command a pretty penny over a multi-year deal and turns 29 before the season. The Jags aren't usually big free agency players. Nothing here that hasn't been said in many other threads many times over

TJ isn’t coming to Houston when San Diego has no one in the backfield.

Can we cut Andre Davis

and use all his monies to pay KW please?

Rudimentary creatures of flesh and blood, you touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.

We should have more money because Dunta isn't making 9 mil like last year.

However, I thought this is the kind of guy Kubiak likes. He can’t be asking for that much, can he?

Well with Pitts, Robinson, Brown, and others coming off...

we do have cap room (yes, there’s no cap but most teams are functioning like there is). However, factor in a DeMeco deal, a (hopefully) Schaub deal, 8 rookies, maybe an OD deal……possible RB…..there may be KW money, but Davis is getting paid $3 million for nothing really.
